I live in a remote off grid cabin, 20 miles from town, no refrigeration, and due yo a logging accident half my spines bolted together and i cannot feel hunger nor feel full.
I get one ride to town per month for supplies and plan my diet/rations well in advance so that i do not waste anything, everything is used up before it spoils, and everything is portioned for what i need, not over eating nor starving.
When i say I can't feel hunger, i mean the nerves were severed when they bolted my spine back together (also broke all my ribs, crushed my heart snd lungs, destroyed my back muscles. Had 1inch tubes sticking out of my chest for 2 weeks to prevent drowning from internal bleeding, had to teach myself to walk again). If i don't schedule eating then i can, and have forgotten to eat for a week then start fainting when i get up. Injury was march of 2021.
Ration sounds applicable instead of preplanned controlled portions
Todsy yas yet to be done as i just got up, its 530am here, you asked yesterday, so per yeaterday i had the left over apple pie and the last chicken salad sandwich with questionsble mayonnaise. Used up the bread, celary (now very rubbery), and the last onion (flavorless , odorless, meally).
I didn't love Deadpool 2 but the end credits scene in the film, I did love. Especially when he's yelling at Baby Hitler. I wish the whole film had been that good.
Fuck man, you guys are watching whole movies on shrooms? Last time I ate shrooms, I just watched the Steam trailer for Stardew Valley 5 times in a row and cried tears of joy
Had the same experience w the Eurovision movie starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, refuse to rewatch it as it won’t be as good as the first time😂
Why is everyone so against this movie? It's one of my all time favorites and I regularly rewatch it when I want some good action. It's still the absolute best on screen Hulk action we've gotten since the 2003 movie.
He's stated it many times, including some pr stunts. It's great to see he owns it. And way to pivot.
I personally thing he was at his best in "Waiting." I never looked at restaurants the same way again. I might have engaged in "the game" as well, but hey, that's the military for you.
After witnessing the "illuminated bat-wing" i took it upon myself to create the "deer in headlights."
In a confined and unlit area, you shine a flashlight in someones face and then rotate it around in a slow, spiraling circular motion as they approach, and have it end up on your exposed scrotum. And then bam, the deer in headlights.
I was partially inspired after witnessing the "pressed ham," within inches of my face on a lower rear bread truck window, while hitching up a utility cart. The mobility requirements for that one alone are quite impressive.
The married guys on a deployment were always the most inspired in the craft. For me, it was a form of retaliation.
Actually he only said it was bad as a bandwagon joke and didn't even watch it until 2021. After watching it he actually claimed he likes it and doesn't get the hate. He still jokes it's shitty though.
Waiting, yeah. Terrible movie but it’s probably one of the most accurate restaurant stories I’ve seen prior to the Bear. But oooof Reynolds does not come off looking good in that one.
It's too stupid to be enjoyed. Is even worse than all the other bad action movies Milla Jovovich did (yes, not a single Resident Evil movie with her is worthy of a serious watch).
They are so much the director wanking mentally to the idea of his wife being a superhero, is isn't even funny.
There is a good interview where he comments on his failed movies and starts listing them and realizes he doesn't need to show his belly quite that hard lol
It's waaay better than whatever that crap the rock was in. I swear, 8 min I was like oh hell no not my life!
At least green lantern was slightly entertaining
My guy spent hundreds of millions to inflate his own ego and make himself the main character, and nobody can even remember his self insert's name. I'd almost feel sorry if it wasn't hilarious.
(and yeah Black Adam is from the comics but I doubt The Rock is being remotely faithful)
It honestly isn't even that bad of a movie. Its definitely not some masterpiece but it isn't awful. I saw it several times as a kid and enjoyed it. It was fun for me as a kid.
If it came out pre Dark Knight I think people would go a lot easier on it. I remember growing up in the 90s the expectation was that a superhero movie was gonna be shit, but stupid fun. But then dark knight happened and suddenly superheroes needed to be taken seriously.
I saw green lantern for the first time this year and can confidently say it was better than most early 2000s superhero slop
I watched it for the first time about two years ago. I have no nostalgia for that movie. I’ve definitely seen worse comic book movies. Like it wasn’t great definitely wasn’t cinema I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again, but it was kind of neat in places.
Please don't. It's painful. All the characters are horribly wrong versions of the originals, Kate Mara as Susan and Miles Teller as Reed are the worst. And the wig they made Mara use for the reshoots is dreadful.
Same. Most movies that get bad "reviews" I like. I liked his green lantern, I liked Batman v Superman as well. To each their own.
It's also studios that are like "ZOMG we only made 100 million profit instead of the 500 billion profit like marvel movies do we are such failures!" Like, fuck this late stage capitalism bullshit especially when it infects the arts. (Although listening to people like this makes me believe we can beat it.)
Like remember the Nickelback sucks meme? TBH I'm not a big music fan or whatever but people were actively campaigning against them playing in the super bowl, not because of politics or they were bad people just because "their music sucks". Like, I'm sorry dude but talk to me when you are popular enough to get signed, make it to the charts, have tours etc.
It's a decent movie (in that it's very similar to the ... what .. 30? other Marvel movies), it just didn't do what Spiderman did, and that's the bar he'd probably set for himself.
he's been in worse movies, I don't know why he keeps acting like this, he's dragging down the Green Lantern character while he does this as well it's so annoying
It certainly has its flaws, but given the genre it’s far from the worst. His long running slander of the movie has hurt one of the coolest characters and power sets in comics. 14 long years later and we finally got a live action GL again. Can’t wait for Lanterns next year too.
Green Lantern's biggest flaw is that it's pretty ok. It's not great (There are pretty great moments in it), it's certainly not as bad as people, even Ryan Reynolds act like it is. He IS a terrible Hal Jordan tho.
The worst thing a movie like this can be is 'ok'.
I'd argue if it was really that bad, people might be regarding it better. See Batman and Robin. That movie is bad, and there's sort of strange "it's bad but I kind like how bad it is" view on it. Certainly more recently.
Movies like Batman and Robin are shitty but memorable. Colorful memorable set pieces. Arnold having the absolute time of his life shouting one shitty dad joke after another. Bat nipples!
Green Lantern suffers the sin of being okay but forgettable.
B&R also is shitty because it's styled like the '60s comics (and the TV series) wherein it's campy as hell. Sure it's not the MODERN Batman, all broody and dark and occasionally light grey but it's still Batman.
I also get the feeling that Batman and Robin was exactly the movie Joel Schumacher set out to make. That turned out to be not a great vision for a film, but it really is just what he (and the other people who worked on it) wanted it to be. Green Lantern doesn't feel like anybody's bad idea, it barely feels like there was an idea behind it at all except that someone said "okay what DC hero gets a movie next? Green Lantern, let's go."
Back when this came out me and a friend went to go see it. Empty theater, and there was an Air Force ad where they’re “flying” a satellite and they’ve gotta dodge some space debris or something and the Air Force people shouted this corny ass “evasive maneuvers” and we both just started laughing at the absurdity of it. Then, later in the movie the BBG is heading towards earth and there’s this satellite in his way and we both looked at each other and yelled “EVASIVE MANEUVERS” and just lost our shit. It’s the only thing I remember about this movie but I’ve always loved it for that memory.
It did have one great scene where he's amazed Blake Lively can recognize him with his mask on and she's like, dude, I've seen you naked and that mask is tiny
God Damn… I must be the only one that still puts this movie on in the background once in a decently long while. It’s not a good film but it’s the best (non animated) hal jordan we will get.
It's not terrible by any means. People on the Internet have no capacity to down their own opinion so they see something enough times, eg) Ryan Reynolds' is terrible and they just parrot it. It's as good the first Thor and plenty other marvel offerings.
I remember spending the night at a friend's house when I was young. His Dad was the superintendent of our schools. Dr. So and so was very prim and proper at school. We all sat down and watched this in their living room and the Dad got up and walked out halfway through and said what the fuck is this. I was just like oooh Dr So and So just swore.
Reminds of Charlie Sheen when hosting SNL gave some audience member their money back for seeing Men At Work. Wasted a Blockbuster rental when I thought "it cant be that bad."
I wish he’d stop shitting on that movie. Yea it was pretty mid but I loved it as a kid and I’ll still enjoy the watch. He’s such a prick about anything he can
It’s worth watching for Mark Strong as Sinestro alone. Ryan Reynolds acts like he’s some top tier actor that made one shitty movie. Most of his movies are trash
He did a live watch on twitter or facebook or something a while back and said he had been too harsh and it wasn't that bad but I'm reasonably sure he was just being nice.
I own the Green Lantern DVD because it came in the box of one of my Wii games. I was a child, so I vaguely remember watching it, but also I can’t remember anything about it so it probably sucked.
I just started reading Secret Origin earlier today and it's got a foreword from Reynolds hyping up the movie. That Baader-Meinhof phenomenon is a doozy sometimes.
Can someone explain what was so terrible about it? I remember seeing it, but I didn't really think it was that much worse than any of the other Superhero movies.
Unpopular opinion, but I didn't mind Green Lantern. Is it so good that I go back to it and watch often? No. But, I think it's worth a one time watch at the least and I know it's a movie that were ever to just pop on TV I could watch without having to scroll for better options.
He's perpetuating the meme, but he once watched it fully in earnest, and even he had to recognize that it wasn't as horrible as he has been telling us.
Takes me back to that one podcast interview where the host was glazing Ryan up about all the movies he was in, but when green lantern was mentioned, all Ryan said was “sorry”, and the whole office blew up laughing
He likes to shit on the movie but he still accepted the offer when he saw the paycheck, a loser that has no true convictions and is full of contradictions that are used just to put him in the spotlight for 5 more seconds, pathetic.
[removed]
Dude added a post credit scene to Deadpool where he shoots himself in the head while reading the script…He’s known for a while.
"You're welcome, Canada."
He also added a line in which he said like "dont make my supersuit green"
And animated
So his mask can be 🤣
Unrelated but awesome profile pic
Electric callboy slaps
I have found you in the wild!! What was today’s ration???
Why is he eating rationd food?
I live in a remote off grid cabin, 20 miles from town, no refrigeration, and due yo a logging accident half my spines bolted together and i cannot feel hunger nor feel full.

I post pictures of a lot of the low income slop i eat on r/shittyfoodporn
Todsy yas yet to be done as i just got up, its 530am here, you asked yesterday, so per yeaterday i had the left over apple pie and the last chicken salad sandwich with questionsble mayonnaise. Used up the bread, celary (now very rubbery), and the last onion (flavorless , odorless, meally).
Yeah that line is from the first one, the shooting Ryan Reynolds in the head with the Green Lantern script is Deadpool 2.
Oh yeah with the time traveling
I didn't love Deadpool 2 but the end credits scene in the film, I did love. Especially when he's yelling at Baby Hitler. I wish the whole film had been that good.
It's a shitty movie, yes. But it is a good high, shitty movie.
Does that mean its good to watch high?
Yup. I enjoy stupid, shitty movies while high. Great to just turn your mind off and enjoy.
Took shrooms and thought the exact same thing about the incredible hulk, went from a like 4/10 to a temporarily 10/10.
Live Action Cowboy Bebop for me. Was coming down off of 5g of penis envy, so we watched a bit.
It looked soooo futuristic... I was amazed.
Watched some the next day and it wasnt half as cool looking.
At first I thought you were recovering from the envy of someone's penis, but TIL it's a type of magic mushroom. What a strain name!
Fuck man, you guys are watching whole movies on shrooms? Last time I ate shrooms, I just watched the Steam trailer for Stardew Valley 5 times in a row and cried tears of joy
Just like weed, you got a queue up what you wanna watch and hit play first
😂
Had the same experience w the Eurovision movie starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, refuse to rewatch it as it won’t be as good as the first time😂
The Edward Norton one? Man I liked that even even while sober 💀
me too buddy, I dunno what they're on about :(
Why is everyone so against this movie? It's one of my all time favorites and I regularly rewatch it when I want some good action. It's still the absolute best on screen Hulk action we've gotten since the 2003 movie.
I agree but hulk could have so much better
I really enjoyed the Sinestro Corp cliffhanger
I recall at one point him creating a full scale hot wheels set using near limitless cosmic energy, so yes.
Hi, yeah it's good to watch
I didn’t think it was that bad. There have been way worse capeshit movies imo
I enjoy it. I might watch it again tonight
You’re not gonna elaborate on how to pull off a “deer in headlights”?
In a confined and unlit area, you shine a flashlight in someones face and then rotate it around in a slow, spiraling circular motion as they approach, and have it end up on your exposed scrotum. And then bam, the deer in headlights.
I was partially inspired after witnessing the "pressed ham," within inches of my face on a lower rear bread truck window, while hitching up a utility cart. The mobility requirements for that one alone are quite impressive.
The married guys on a deployment were always the most inspired in the craft. For me, it was a form of retaliation.
… it has been many years since I we played when it came out but oh my god you just gave me flashbacks
Yeah that movie came out when I was in college in s fraternity. 😂
Actually he only said it was bad as a bandwagon joke and didn't even watch it until 2021. After watching it he actually claimed he likes it and doesn't get the hate. He still jokes it's shitty though.
I...i...kind of like it on the background while doing laundry folding..
The greatest con that Ryan Reynolds has ever got away with is making people think green lantern was his only bad movie.
I'm pretty sure he's made a slew of jokes about his movies lol he just pokes fun at Green Lantern the most
Any reference to Nine?Or is he hoping that one stays buried?
he was great in Buried. I was hooked the entire way through

Please don’t bring up the slaughterhouse 9, this is a SFW sub.
/j
A Worm reference in the wild, I'm pleasantly surprised!
there's another one where he works in a restaurant and constantly makes jokes about banging the 17 year old waitress.
Waiting, yeah. Terrible movie but it’s probably one of the most accurate restaurant stories I’ve seen prior to the Bear. But oooof Reynolds does not come off looking good in that one.
Worked the grill in over 40 kitchens. Just wanted to agree with "most accurate restaurant"....I no longer dine out.
idk if anything is that bad
Crazy how both Nine and 9 were both released in 2009
I really enjoyed Nines when it came out and I was a teenager. Maybe it wont hit the same on re-watch but now im going to have to give it a go
It's pretty widely considered the worst superhero movie in existence. Or at least it was before Madam Web... And Morbius... And...
You know what, nevermind.
I thought that was Howard the Duck?
You take that back!
Green Lantern is DC
Yeah, I was literally editing it to "Superhero" when you replied, my b
Got to be faster if you want to beat me.
Is ultraviolet considered a superhero movie? That's literally the only movie I've ever walked out of in my life
Why would you walk out on ultraviolet? It was hilarious(ly bad)
Suicide Squad is the worst superhero movie ever made. Green lantern is just very bad.
I agree, the only good thing about suicide squad is Harley's feet
I don't consume him in any form other than Deadpool- which other ones has he said something negative and interesting/amusing about?
Wait til you find out about his first appearance as Deadpool.
And no, it wasn't in Deadpool.
Not everyone can top the masterpiece that is Just Friends.
Honestly? Anna Faris was hilarious in that.
I didn’t mean it as sarcasm it’s probably Reynolds best performance.
Be yourself, be yourself! …but I don’t want to be myself
That movie is hilarious and I won’t hear otherwise
My snow globe collection!
What ham did you slap? Not the ham I just cooked?!
Great Christmas movie
He went full Christian Bale for that one.
More, more! Ok enough, enough!
Anna Farts
Well, yeah, we all do. If we're healthy...
🎶 Forgiveness is more than saying sorry sorry 🎶
That movie is so good
Shitty opinion if you think that’s a bad movie
He’s jersey he skis in his jeans! ….simply dusty
I need like 3 more hours of storyline of The Proposal
I love the proposal
I liked him in Van Wilder until it started to seem like he was just being himself instead of playing an over the top character.
There is a good interview where he comments on his failed movies and starts listing them and realizes he doesn't need to show his belly quite that hard lol
The only reason people pick on Green Lantern is that they haven’t seen R.I.P.D.
Doesn't he make a joke in Deadpool about his character in X-Men first class?
Free isn’t cheap enough for it.
Im willing to watch it is someone paid me to, i got nothing better to do with my time lol
Sure. I've got 50c
I'll add this suspiciously gooey dime to the pile!
Why the f... No. You know what? I don't want to know.
Keep your gooey dime and I'll throw in $0.20 from the both of us if you never speak of the dime again.
It's waaay better than whatever that crap the rock was in. I swear, 8 min I was like oh hell no not my life! At least green lantern was slightly entertaining
Black Lightning?
Yes!! I think so! Omg that was terrible, I've only noped out of like 5 movies in my life, that one was very remarkable for how bad it was
Baby gurl it's black Adam...
😂 yup
My guy spent hundreds of millions to inflate his own ego and make himself the main character, and nobody can even remember his self insert's name. I'd almost feel sorry if it wasn't hilarious.
(and yeah Black Adam is from the comics but I doubt The Rock is being remotely faithful)
Surprisingly as someone who didn’t know anything about green lanter at the time
The movie was alright,
Same with dragon ball evolution, didn’t know what dragon ball even was, aside from buu-saga episodes sometime shown on tv, and at the time
it was also an alright movie
I have no idea what that says about me, the two hated shows and I had fun watching both
Ryan Reynolds is just offering economic advice because you can get it for less than 99¢ at any thrift store or yard sale and own it forever!
why would you want to own it forever
To make sure no one else accidentally buys it and watches it.
This reminds me of “Help! Someone broke my car window and left a copy of Call of Duty [latest installment] inside!”
is it like the rings tape that says you’re gonna die in a week?? 😹😹
It would make a great gag gift.
So you can resell it afterwards to recoup some of your losses
Me after the DVD I threw away and burned 3 times before shows up in front of me again

yea i dont really understand the hate surrounding it. its not good or anything, but its not bad, and more importantly: it was fun
Hell I'll go as far as to say it was actually pretty fucking good
Yeah it's stupid and simple but it's fun and I enjoyed it immensely and even rewatched it multiple times
And I never rewatch anything, people need to chill

Yep, it's watchable, and I'm not even a big fan of superhero movies.
I think it gets hate for the same reason Nickelback does. Someone made fun of it once and it stuck.
It's not a great movie, but it's not a bad movie either.

He’ll always be Van Wilder to me.
I love Van Wilder, but I’ve always wondered, what happened with Taj?
Did they not do a taj spinoff movie? /s
They should have made a spinoff on Colossus instead.
when he was cashing the green lantern check he wasnt whining....

Am I seriously the only one that enjoyed it?
I wish he’d stop shitting on that movie. Yea it was pretty mid but I loved it as a kid and I’ll still enjoy the watch. He’s such a prick about anything he can
he met his wife on the set of this movie lmao
I mean, I don't remember a lot about it, but it's worth 99 cents. $1 would be pushing it.
Just walk away
This bums me out. I enjoyed that movie. I hate when actors don't like their own work that I enjoy. 😞
It’s worth watching for Mark Strong as Sinestro alone. Ryan Reynolds acts like he’s some top tier actor that made one shitty movie. Most of his movies are trash
Terrible movie. The guy who got possessed by parallax reminded me of a smash player fresh off the heels of a tournament loss
REEEEEEEEE
He did a live watch on twitter or facebook or something a while back and said he had been too harsh and it wasn't that bad but I'm reasonably sure he was just being nice.
I thought it was very funny when he apologized for playing Green Lantern on Sway
Just the immediate "Sorry" was delivered so well!
Yeah you should get paid to watch that movie.
if apple paid me $19.99,
I still would not watch it.
Whenever I’m down on myself, I try to remember that actually I’ve never done anything that I hate as much as Ryan Reynolds hates Green Lantern
He looks like someone who would pay for Apple TV, too.
I absolutely loved this movie as a kid. I’m scared to rewatch it, because I know it will suck ass in retrospect
I remember liking the movie
It's not that much worse than the average marvel movie.
He said his son watches it everyday
I own the Green Lantern DVD because it came in the box of one of my Wii games. I was a child, so I vaguely remember watching it, but also I can’t remember anything about it so it probably sucked.
I just started reading Secret Origin earlier today and it's got a foreword from Reynolds hyping up the movie. That Baader-Meinhof phenomenon is a doozy sometimes.
Can someone explain what was so terrible about it? I remember seeing it, but I didn't really think it was that much worse than any of the other Superhero movies.
Why does Ryan Reynolds hate the movie so much? Like did it turn out differently than he was expecting while filming or pre production?
I would understand if he really admired the character and had some sort of vision for it, but truly it's just a mid superhero movie.
Im confused why Reynolds specifically hates it so much lmao
I liked it...
I enjoyed it if you could set aside the CGI suit.
I confused it with Green Hornet and wondered why he would ask Ryan
Unpopular opinion, but I didn't mind Green Lantern. Is it so good that I go back to it and watch often? No. But, I think it's worth a one time watch at the least and I know it's a movie that were ever to just pop on TV I could watch without having to scroll for better options.
$0.99 is a bargain. I think I paid $12 or so to see it in theaters when it came out.
Too late, it was on one service or another and I watched again sometime last month.
Ngl I kinda like that movie, I wish we could get that era of super hero movie back sometimes.
It's not the 99 cents. It's the 2 and a half hours that are robbed from your life so violently, that it sours the next 8 hours too.
I've been watching too much Northernlion. I was like, what does 'walk away' mean in the context of this guy saying he was gonna kill himself?
Shit if someone offered a pirated copy of that movie to me for free I would delete it from their computer.
He's perpetuating the meme, but he once watched it fully in earnest, and even he had to recognize that it wasn't as horrible as he has been telling us.
The only movie I’ve ever walked out of halfway through
It was bad, but the potential was there. I think it would be a lot less hated if they didn't CGI the uniform to begin with.
Was it really that much worse than like 40% of the Marvel movies?
For 99 cents, I say do it to appreciate the piece of CBM history.
With expectations in the basement, and the DCU having moved on to bigger and better things, GL can just be appreciated for how abysmal it is.
I say this as someone who hasn't been able to stay awake for an entire viewing though, lol.
Listen to Deadpool….he tried to make it right 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Most of the movie isn't even that bad.
Mostly it's just the bad suit and the awful villain with the big head.
Am I the only one who thought it was okay?

I'm an extra in this film 🤣🤣
Takes me back to that one podcast interview where the host was glazing Ryan up about all the movies he was in, but when green lantern was mentioned, all Ryan said was “sorry”, and the whole office blew up laughing
Bro just trying to avoid having to waste 90 seconds depositing a $0.03 check on his phone every month
I don’t mind the suit. It’s not great but I decided to put it down to him being a beginner at energy manifestation.
He likes to shit on the movie but he still accepted the offer when he saw the paycheck, a loser that has no true convictions and is full of contradictions that are used just to put him in the spotlight for 5 more seconds, pathetic.
it's not a bad movie it's ok
I will die on thia hill.
This movie is not as bad as raw meme make it our to be. Is it great? Nah. But its a okay watch. And for $1 worth it.
Because of him. Deadpool 2 was not funny so he added back talking about green lantern at the end like first aids. Ass.
