I literally cut off part of my finger, and just gauzed it up, cleaned up the blood, and kept cooking dinner, and went to the grocery store before I went to the hospital. I get a stomach bug and I am bedridden for about a week.
You know, in order to make a valid claim about scientific evidence, you actually have to cite the source. Saying "Backed by science" doesn't mean shit if you don't have a meta study to prove it.
I'd rather break a bone than get a cold. I'm not even exaggerating. I've broken about 10 bones in my life and yeah it hurts but I'd take that any day over a cold that lasts two weeks, which they always do for me. Fuck colds.
I doubt it was the common cold, but a few years back I had something that really wanted me dead. Weβre talking extreme light sensitivity, inability to hold fluids, complete loss of appetite, high fever, and extreme weakness in the muscles. I was sick as a dog for 2 weeks.
Pain from injury is localized and can be worked around or ignored.
Sickness drains your strength across your whole body while playing merry hell with your breathing and blood pressure all while interfering with your ability to eat, and rest.
A car with a flat tire or broken window can drive. A car with a clogged fuel pump ain't going nowhere.
I think thats the Batsuit from the Batman vs Predator comic.
Where the Predator beat the ever loving shit out of Batman in a junkyard and Batman had to wear this suit to fight the Predator in the Batcave/ Wayne Manor
Unless you straight up lost the functionality of both your legs, injuries usually aren't routine altering and are typically confined to a single area of your body.
ILLNESS, on the other hand, not only affects your entire body but just completely saps your energy and ability to do things en-masse.
This is real, I think. If you are in trouble, in battle, or just need to absolutely reach a goal no matter what. Vs. being at home or in another vulnerable situation were thereβs no pressure upon yourself
I'm a guy and I've never understood this one. Not the stereotype, my dad and brother are like this but... I dunno, I don't really make a fuss over having a cold or whatever
My sisters always bullied me for being weak as I would get sleepy and tired when I had the flu. One day I just accepted im weak. THE SAME DAY I fell down 12 feet on concrete floor, broke my ankle instantly, dragged myself home, got hit my car and had a massive bruise on my hip and back, fell down and vision started getting blurry, a fucking stray dog bit me. Dad took me to doctor (I was 15) and it took three doctors to examine and asses me. I had a shattered ankle, a hairline fracture in the same leg, internal bleeding on cars impact (Some blood vessels got hurt) and a concussion. Doctors were shocked that I was able to drag myself home and still form conscious sentences. Pain was bad but that day my sisters realised I am fucking built different.
So true. A woman steps on a Lego in bare feet she shakes it off and moves on for the day AND picks it up. With a guy he limps around for 3 days and you hear all about it constantly.
Shot a nail clean through my finger, right through the bone. Finished our last 6 hours of work, went home, soap and water, fine. I have a cold right now and I don't know if I'll make it until tomorrow morning.
Sleep schedules are a myth made by w*men to stop you from being batman

I relate to this.
I could be bleeding to death and still force myself to work. As soon as I have a headache and some congestion, I'm done.
I can and have powered through damn near everything including accidentally stabbing a spindle through my hand completely.
But the second I feel nausea I'm done
A man must know his limits
It's not being dramatic, it's achieving peak medical aesthetic

I think this is AI.
I think you need to read Batman VS Predator
I think you misunderstood. I believe the commenter I replied to isn't a human. Post history is quite strange and is only 12 days old.
I think usually they just neglect the cold till it breaks them down
π€ fun fact testrostrone blocks immunity for some disease and by birth men are lessimmune ig its due to y cromosome π€
fr tho, women can tolerate illness a lot better than men
I fck with this truth, spot on
The joke of men dying earlier than women have some truth to it.
those who X-linked recessive inheritance
Men have more physical resistance and less magical resistance. Women are opposite.
I've seen different versions of this meme a hundred times now
Be prepared to see hundreds more now that itβs winter
I literally cut off part of my finger, and just gauzed it up, cleaned up the blood, and kept cooking dinner, and went to the grocery store before I went to the hospital. I get a stomach bug and I am bedridden for about a week.
Testosterone is weird like that.
Testosterone is an immuno suppressant, I believe.
Makes inflammation and symptoms from illness a bit worse.
On the other hand, guys generally are more pain tolerant(backed by science).
If you ever worked in a hospital, guys are definitely not more pain tolerant lol
This is based on scientific evidence, not anecdotal examples
You know, in order to make a valid claim about scientific evidence, you actually have to cite the source. Saying "Backed by science" doesn't mean shit if you don't have a meta study to prove it.

You're acting like I'd say that was scientifically backed without researching it myself before
Man I really wish yall would stop engaging with all these repost bots
I'm glad that woman have babies, that way they can finally know the pain a man goes through when he has a cold
I'd rather break a bone than get a cold. I'm not even exaggerating. I've broken about 10 bones in my life and yeah it hurts but I'd take that any day over a cold that lasts two weeks, which they always do for me. Fuck colds.
I read "Condom cold"
me too

Just walk it off you will be fine.
Science already settled this. Testosterone makes injuries more bearable and colds less.
Pain from injury is localized and can be worked around or ignored.
Sickness drains your strength across your whole body while playing merry hell with your breathing and blood pressure all while interfering with your ability to eat, and rest.
A car with a flat tire or broken window can drive. A car with a clogged fuel pump ain't going nowhere.
they be like a sick Victorian child yearning to see the sea for one last time lol
injuries don't really hurt that much while healing when ur not moving
just walk it off or ur not a real man or something like that
Fun fact Batman wore that suit when he faced Predator in their crossover
Hard to cosplay my Manliness with a cold ...
I think thats the Batsuit from the Batman vs Predator comic.
Where the Predator beat the ever loving shit out of Batman in a junkyard and Batman had to wear this suit to fight the Predator in the Batcave/ Wayne Manor
literally me like a week ago i still cough and shit π

I'm just a baby
I am currently sick and I do wish I had broken a bone instead
Simple. Pushing through pain is badass, and you donβt notice most of the pain until later due to adrenaline.
Being sick is uncomfortable, and being uncomfortable fucking sucks. I want that done with as soon as possible.
wow glad this exact same joke with no changes is being posted for the 8billionth time
His helmet looks so off center, his mouth looks like it's too far to the left instead of being centered.
In the bottom picture, the right leg looks like quite a bulge.
Someone give him a hand!
What Batman suit is that at the top?

oh no guys my throat.... my throat is hurting think I am going to die
My sisters always bullied me for being weak as I would get sleepy and tired when I had the flu. One day I just accepted im weak. The world will not understand our struggles
More resistant to physical damage but less resistant to magical damage
Totally true
Outside booboos easy.
Inside booboos hard.
I'd like an added picture of an even harder suffering dude with the caption "Emotional Damage" π
protagonist ahh guy
A clogged nose or runny nose will down just about anyone.
Facts
It looks cool when you're injured but I get brain fucked when I am sick
how did you get this picture of me?
Is that the bat suit from Batman vs Predator?
Men will walk off a broken leg but be on their deathbed over a sore throat
Just got over a nasty one can confirm I looked like this since Saturday night
EXACTLY
Every time I have a headache, I wish it was a broken bone or something
Local vs Systemic illness
Well yeah illness sucks ass.
Men will walk off a broken leg but wonβt survive a slightly spicy sneeze ππ
I am dying rn because of that π€§

Same lol
You can struggle through a physical mortal pain, you can't struggle through a fever
Simple, adrenaline.
Moaning significantly increases our healing rate as well. Just a heads up!
