    Omg but seriously, this just reminds me of when my roommate tried to harvest daffodils as onions and cooked them into a soup. Like, I always plant a bunch of random shit every year in the limited amount of full sun space we have in the city plus some some perennial-ish herbs spattered about, but the daffodils were just already there and during my silly over excited garden tours never did I mention onions. One night, they generously offered me some delicious looking homemade soup (I am a sucker for liquid foods) and as the spoon was about to touch my lips, they proudly proclaimed they harvested the onions from our humble little chaos garden. I most certainly did NOT plant onions. Sadly had to tell them they made an intestinal nightmare in a crockpot. Did smell really good though….
