Spiders are bad at swimming but good at walking on semi solid surfaces, it could've plausibly survived...until the jar inevitably gets shaken around and disturbs the surface tension, which would've happened before it even left the factory, let alone delivered to the store. Several days or weeks of jostling and that spider is dead as hell and very soggy. Unless it somehow clung to the underside of the lid the entire time, which is really unlikely
this wouldn’t happen because the person is saying the spider is ALIVE. it would’ve had to survive the entire packing process, the lack of oxygen, etc for however many days. it’s just not possible lol
