Yeah its edited, the way the bike fell doesn't correlate to how it was picked up. No way it would slide down there perfectly, and it just suddenly appears in a frame.
Edit: Thanks. Yeah it's a second bike he gets on that was conviently laying in the perfect spot.
I also remember seeing this before AI was capable of such things. The 2nd bike he gets on to is the filmer’s bike, it’s completely stationary. I think the color is also different. I think parts of the video are sped up / staged, but I don’t think it’s ai.
Probably the fact that it's somebody doing something crazy in 240p with shitty stabilization. I don't think it's AI just from how the branding on his outfit makes sense and is consistent throughout the video, but I could be underestimating AI I suppose.
It's not AI, folks. I saw this on Pinkbike quite some time ago... before AI debuted. It's two different bikes. The bike he wrecks is black... the bike he picks up, the cameraman's bike, is gray.
But it’s just how things are nowadays… with the emergence of AI and how it tricks people into believing something is real, vs someone doing something unbelievable. It just de-emphasizes human capabilities, but it’s just something we have to live with from now on.
True, and there’s always gonna be people who actually uses their head. But I wanna say majority of people who scroll through here don’t do that or don’t care to do that. Like I don’t give a rats ass that this is AI or not, I see dude falling and catching a bike, a neuron in my head gets activated, I hit the Like button, I’m happy. It shouldn’t matter whether people think it’s AI, but I love reading the comments about it, and people who say otherwise, it’s kind of entertaining how the comment sections on these types of short form content devolve in such a way vs how it used to be back before AI
Damn people have a really bad eye for AI. Lots of people dont recognise obvious AI, and prematurely attribute low picture quality + unlikely content to being AI when it obviously isn't, like here.
I don’t think it’s AI, but I kinda feel like it was staged and the part where he’s getting on the 2nd bike seems sped up a bit. Frame by frame everything looks pretty realistic. I swear I saw this video before AI could generate video too.
If this is AI then it’s the most impressed I’ve ever been with AI. Are people certain? There’s a lot of leaves and branches that don’t move strangely or morph into something else, the writing on his gear is consistent, the shadows are accurate, there’s even a shadow of the person filming it. It looks set up, but I can’t see how AI could do this.
It's hard to explain how but the part where he gets on the other bike feels like a video in reverse. But nothing about this would make sense in reverse either.
AI videos can be cool, but I don’t understand how it is better every loop. It would be better every loop if it was real since it would be cool to see how you do a smooth fall save like this, but when it’s AI you watch it once and that is all the depth it has since there isn’t more to look into the gif to figure out.
This… doesn’t look real.. something just looks off.
Pretty sure I remember seeing this years ago, way before AI.
I remember seeing it before but this is the only one I could find from a year ago. I think it's just edited.

...it's supposed to be two different bikes.
I think it’s two different bikes.
It’s also a different color if you really look at it.
It clearly went through the cameraman
I have seen this video years before ai.
Yes, because AI is the only method we have to alter videos
It’s clearly an AI first image->last image video covering the crash segment
Surprisingly not AI, original was made before AI Video Generation was a thing. Just a stunt.
I love when åe6ople say something is clearly AI when it isn't

That would be my underpants!
Someone posted it in r/sports now I’m also questioning it
It’s AI made shit video
Then why was it posted over a year ago, before we had AI capable of this?

The cameraman’s bike (2nd one) is clearly blue. OH NO!!! Do you see a gray bike or a blue bike???

This is a real video, I’ve seen it before and the original is much smoother and has his buddy yelling at him for stealing his bike.
I thought so, I think people just say anything is AI these days if there's something even slightly weird about it.
Agreed. There’s always been people crying ‘Fake!’ at every video, but now with AI we’ve officially reached r/nothingeverhappens territory.

AI
Worried that the future of reddit will be just people discussing whether the content is AI or not.
(it's not AI in this case, IIRC the guys in the video framed this as a coincidence, but could have well been prepared)
Is this AI or was there a second bike waiting for him?
What did I just watch 3 times? My brain doesn’t compute!
I'm no expert but, it looks like it's just a very fortuitous coincidence.
Ah the old "Do It In Reverse So It Looks Believable"... We all know that he was actually falling UP that stump!
I found him doing it normal before they reversed it!

It's not. We didn't have this technology over a year ago.

Jfc its not AI. It's simply 2 clips spliced together.... what's with all the people so confidently wrong about AI all the time?
Oh no, poor guy crashed so hard, that it turned into a shirty AI video.
I love everyone saying It's AI, when it isn't.
the bike would’ve taken out the camera man. it’s still cool tho
Yea right
looks faker every loop
But it's true though. It is not AI
we faked shit for centuries before AI
Well, I don't know if this was intended or not, but it could as well be a stun he was trying for some time or not 🤷
Still cool though
Crappy AI
The impossible physics bike that slows down on dismount only to go FTL to get ahead of the rider to get mounted on again!
FYI I know it’s not the same bike but following the logic implied in the video
