To be fair, reptiles always seek warmth. To have a mammal in their establishment is like a treat for them, because they hardly feel mammalian warmth, instead having to rely on heat lamps scattered throughout the speakeasy.
If this is the reason why Nick has an aversion to reptiles I can see why cause the lack of personal space and one lizard was flirting with him after the tail shed off. I am only peeved it was just brought up in that one scene but never addressed again. The movie blenders ti be 15-20 minutes longer cause I believe the film was only about 93 minutes before the credits. It definitely could’ve had a longer runtime.
Nick having an aversion to reptiles makes total sense if he's interacted with them before and they all acted like this. Personal space, dude.

But yeah, Pete is a bit of a freak.
Nice bit of foreshadowing though, establishing early on in a joke scene that reptiles can get warm by holding onto mammals.
Pits supremacy 🔥 🥴🥴🥴
Pete seems like my type of guy. I'd date him
Wow, very to the point with his fetish.
He clearly must've had plenty of arm strength given that leopard geckos can't stick like most of the other geckos...
What a name, his mother mustn't have liked him much.
Man I must've missed that on my first watch. That's hilarious!

Maybe they should also have Nick having a friendship with Gary too would work
Yeah maybe
