Well thank you. :) I love seeing how people renovate, I'm glad others do too. I hate bad flips, this was a nice one.
This was posted here two years ago, and while I can see that it sold for 1,900,000 on Redfin here it doesn't show the old photos, so we can't go double check on what the bathrooms etc looked like. But there are plenty of kitchen and cabinet shots in the old ZGW post here https://www.reddit.com/r/zillowgonewild/comments/1d6ed6t/a_treehouse_in_the_woods_made_of_many_types_of/
Fuck yes. A flip that actually looks good. I love it holy shit.
Yeah, I'm glad that they left a lot of the wood and focussed on bringing the kitchen up to date The way they placed it makes so much more sense now and makes the whole floor feel a lot more open.
Love the house. The furniture is all wrong and out of proportion. Looks like it’s designed to be a waiting room in most rooms
The house is probably empty and that’s all staged
That’s not really their furniture
Was totally going to say “fire the staging company ASAP”. It would almost look better empty.
Honestly at $3.4M that house is right in line with the rest of the neighborhood. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells reasonably quickly with the new finishes.
This place is right around the corner at more than twice the price:

What a beautiful staircase!
Yeah, this place will find soon find a buyer that wants the modern/MCM clean look.
they left the pecky cyprus! praise the flippers! i was concerned for a second. that new kitchen is great. good flip.
Yea, flip or not, love it... I would live there...
It bothers me tremendously that the kitchen doesn't have a fridge
it does! it's built on to the left of the ovens on the opposing wall. right next to the glass door to the deck.
Looks good!
Wonderful.
Woodhouse in the trees. I like it.
hell yeah
It looks good but it’s in Georgia lol
what's wrong about Georgia?
Not too shabby!
Now just move it and the woods out of Georgia and it’s perfect.
It's only a 20 minute drive to downtown Atlanta despite the woodsy rural look of the lot.
Commute to work at Google, Turner Broadcasting, CNN, Cartoon Network, IBM, UPS, Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola, Salesforce or King & Spalding, etc etc in less than 30 minutes. Though I hear traffic in Atlanta is angry and sucks.
I found a site with the pre-flip photos! The bathroom is one heck of an upgrade! https://kellerwilliamsatlantaperimeter.yourkwoffice.com/cs/property/120-Laurel-Drive-NE-Atlanta-GA-30342/1838324422023936

I liked the bathroom much better before. Same with the kitchen. The "modern" aesthetic is so bland it's hideous. I hear people say the presence of wood everywhere makes a room too dark, but they're completely in love with a room with black walls and covered in black fixtures. It's awful.
Combining modern fixtures with 1970s/80s wooden aesthetic is horrific.
I really like wood too, and the wood cabinets here, but I can't stand tiled grout nightmare sink areas like this. I've had some grout-battles in wet rooms, lol. Re-grouting is an underrated updating thing though, a lot of tile can look brand new with that simple refresh. Peope also forget that grout can come in colors!
Agreed. Personally I'm not a fan of grout even though I do like tile. What little I do like about it is purely nostalgic. However, in my current house, which was flipped, the original kitchen counters have been replaced with a granite countertop. Most people would prefer this, but it hides messes so well because of its pattern that I can never tell how clean it is (or even if there are any ants present, which I've struggled with in the past). With a tile countertop, at least I could see I cleaned everything properly and keep the ants away. It's not something I even thought about until I had to live with it.
Looks like another 80s middle school. Hideous still.
