Hagadone's estate owns this? That somehow takes the luster off it quite a bit for me. He was an asshole when he was inserting himself as much as he was into CdA back in the day.
The house prices in that area are insanity. Like sure this one is absurd even for the area, but there's a 1.7 acre lot with no house for 4 million, and lots of others in the 1-2M range.
I was fortunate enough for a quick tour of this house. It was during the dark days of Covid and I was there for a client and it was a bit rushed. I didn’t get to see it all.
It is arguably one of the most impressive homes in an area of impressive homes.
Does anyone else think they or one of their friends would end up braining themselves on the pointy concrete in the pool? Not a very...conducive shape for swimming laps.
The shark tank in question. Actually much nicer than others I've seen posted here and not an unreasonable one to house what appear to be leopard sharks.
I don’t think this home could be built today for less than asking price. The 8 acre lot is another factor especially being in Big Horn. I know most of the estate homes sold in Big Horn and elsewhere in the valley are often offered as-furnished sans original artwork. Either way, I think the house is fair priced. It’s a 3rd or 4th home at best for most buyers at this level.
I love everything about this house. Maybe not the pool as much, seems like a game of battleship.
The architect did a wonderful job making a unique modern house that blends into the environment oddly well from a distance. The architect perfectly incorporated the beautiful views.
Anyone have a decent guess at what the annual cost of owning this property would be?
Between taxes, insurance, utilities, upkeep, etc... I just know it's a lot.
The wealth gap is fucking insane
Duane Hagadone's house again. Or more accurately, his estate's house. He died about 4 years ago.
He also had a really nice place on Lake Coeur d'Alene, but it paled next to this one.
He had a big yacht, too.
And the yacht has a submarine.
And it's own golf course. I guess owning a golf course on land wasn't enough for ol' Duaner.

Someone pointed out that it was sold in 2022, after he died. So now it's the mother of all flips.
Well........I can't afford that!
I can't afford it if someone paid cash and gave it to me. Half a million in property tax alone

Is that authentic Chihuly glasswork?
At any rate, this house and the views are awesome.
In a house like that, my guess would be yes!
Sorry but at that point it’s just a gross display of wealth. Imagine the good you could do instead.
It’s pretty gross actually. Not even the good that you can do with it but how is it possible that one person has thus much money?
I’m sorry, why don’t you want to be rich? Are you stupid?

I'm looking at this, and actually thinking this is the ugliest home. All that stone tile? That unlivable layout?
Designed to show it off for a reception 3-4 times a year and live in 25% of its area the rest of the time.

Hopefully before the first mortgage payment is due.
I assume I can qualify for a 0.001% down payment.
The utility bills for one month would be more than the entire mortgage on my house.

Meh... My budget tops put at $45million for a house... This one is too expensive even if I knock them down a little.
You're just late for the game. It sold for only $42 million in 2022.

I think you should make an offer lol
This is so wild like how is everyone not losing their minds over this

I just need $62,500,000.
Those pools are such a bad design
Is that a concrete tennis court? What the hell?
probably clay.
It’s so beige.

We get it, the house has a pool.
I don’t think I’ve seen a house on this sub that I like more than this one. Wow. I love everything about it.
