Actually Valhalla's not bad either. The storyline's way better and the graphic quality is somewhat better. Also you get to chop off heads with an ax and burn down villages which is pretty fun.
was just about to say the same thing, a little biased as it was my first assassins creed, but I played others after and this is definitely one of my top 3 assassin creeds. 3 being my favorite
I’d love to play it but it runs like absolute doo doo on my Series S
EDIT: I decided to give it another shot after posting this and I completely rescind my statement, this game is rad and runs like butter most of the time. Do not listen to me. Please play it.
It’s been a little over a week since I posted this and I haven’t responded… because I gave it another shot and I have been sucked in real deep. I was tweakin man, this game is great and runs so much better than I remember. I was absolutely wrong; this game is rad.
I don’t have an issue with perf on the S. Try going into the settings and changing the graphics mode to performance, and maybe try enabling the frame rate lock if it’s off.
"denoting or relating to a video game in which players move freely within a virtual environment and may choose how to achieve objectives with relative autonomy"
I'm sorry if you didn't enjoy your time on the seas. If by griefing you mean sinking or spawn camping you, of course that is just how the game works, and you can avoid it in Safer Seas (single player mode) which was added within the last year. If by griefing you mean they were yelling slurs, then that sucks and I hope those players got banned. It is sad; those people hurt the reputation of a beautiful game.
That’s how the game works, I agree. But it shouldn’t work like that, you shouldn’t have to play 100 straight days to advance past the first hundred yards. Nothing has changed since day one release.
If you hadn’t noticed, then you need to go and look at the ratings and complaints in the reviews in the store.
Could you explain this more? Been playing since day 1 and this didn't make sense. Maybe you're thinking of a different game? A lot of people don't realize it is an instanced game as well. Each new time you start a server, you start with a fresh ship and a fresh new adventure. It's not one of those games is where you build an outpost and progress it over time. Moving forward 100 yd is simply putting your sails down and anchor up and you are on your way.
It's a looter shooter like Destiny and Boarderlands however It's slower paced(if you choose) and has a horror element to it. But it's the environments that saved the game imo.
There really aren’t any top-notch open worlders on game pass. SOT is almost totally griefers, TOW is about as repetitive as it gets, Starfield is hahahahhaa and NMS just doesn’t have the zazz.
Plenty of great open world games are on sale or cheap now tho.
AC Odyssey is a pretty damn beautiful open world
Seconded. It is massive with lots to do.
Actually Valhalla's not bad either. The storyline's way better and the graphic quality is somewhat better. Also you get to chop off heads with an ax and burn down villages which is pretty fun.

Things in modern rome history that did not happen for $1000 alex.. ya Alex still my go to
was just about to say the same thing, a little biased as it was my first assassins creed, but I played others after and this is definitely one of my top 3 assassin creeds. 3 being my favorite
Yakuza
Preach! Those games are so much fun.
Fallout new vegas is on gamepass but really any of the fallout games are pretty fun
Shadow of war
More than one world … a LOT more = No Man’s Sky
I can’t give NMS enough credit, what a truly beautiful game.
I’d love to play it but it runs like absolute doo doo on my Series S
EDIT: I decided to give it another shot after posting this and I completely rescind my statement, this game is rad and runs like butter most of the time. Do not listen to me. Please play it.
I am on Series S
Really? Runs fine on mine
Yeah definitely feels like it drops below 30 fps non stop
Frame rate definitely drops over time, and it degrades much faster if you use Quick Resume.
Fully quitting the app and re-launching gets the frame rate back up, for a while.

Grounded
Fallout 4
Fallout 76
Fallout 3
New vegas
Skyrim?
I still lose myself in the lands of Tamriel from time to time..
Yes, that game is holding up very well. Whatever they did with the graphics, lighting, etc overhaul it looks amazing.
Watch the skies, traveler.
Are they still updating and improving it? I haven't played it since it first came out
Definitely been improved since it first came out. Not sure how much they’re still working on it, though.
The overhaul I’m talking about is from 2016 I think, but was pretty significant. Almost made it feel like a new game to me.

On Xbox, I never played with mods and it’s fantastic. In PC with mods, it can be an entirely different game (in a good way).
While not the best I actually quite enjoyed Crackdown 3.
Started playing this yesterday and am really enjoying it.
Definitely a little janky and does not feel like a full release game but for an arcade type game it is a good time.
Yea, it’s like a great 7.5/10 game. Think I beat the game over a weekend and couldn’t stop playing.
Sleeping Dogs
If I wasn't playing shadow of war this is the game I would be playing. Absolutely fantastic for an older game
The outer world is really good. You're gonna want to buy the dlc at the end though.
Neither open world nor good but alrite
"denoting or relating to a video game in which players move freely within a virtual environment and may choose how to achieve objectives with relative autonomy"
And the outer world is good in my OPINION.
Alright
Palworld
Palworld is on gamepass?
Yup
since day 1
Been hooked for a month. Addictive game and tons of fun.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon
Origin or odyssey open world with rpg elements
Microsoft flight sim
Jedi Survivor
Not considered open world
Sea of Thieves
Be careful, you might just fall in love
It’s 99% griefers, what’s not to love

I re-installed it recently and yep, still griefers the moment you set sail. How TF is that fun for noobs? Getting killed constantly, it’s ridiculous
You’re just gonna have to get good lol it’s a pvp game
[deleted]
OK now I know you’re just trolling
can't grief there's nothing to build, just stealing, murder and pillage
Dayz
AC Origins was so cool.
I’m obsessed with fallout 76 at the moment. Especially if you love to loot… also lots of ranking up quickly in it
Ive tried this on 3 different occasions and can't seem to stick with it. Not sure why. Loved 3 and 4. Even was hyped to try again after the show.
Yeah I tried it when it first hit gamepass a year+ ago and did not like it but for some reason it really stuck this time. Maybe all the looting
Watchdogs 2 hasn’t been mentioned yet. A fantastic open world that really feels alive. Really fun to play too
Skyrim and FO4.
Starfield is really great, too, but whether or not you could really consider it open with the way they handle locations is kind of up in the air.
Fallout
Thanks all of you for sharing
Immortals: Fenyx Rising
Msfs 2020 is the only answer. All other open world games are Fake open world.
assassins creed valhalla is a good one too in my opinion
The far cry’s are really my good, so is medieval dynasty
My favorite rn is sea of thieves but it’s tough to play single player
It’s a cool game but I genuinely can’t play it without friends
My personal pics are Redfall and ReCore
Redfall is terrible
It's not imo. I put in 50hrs solo and enjoyed every minute of it.
same here
What do you like about redfall? I kinda just forgot about it but maybe I’ll give it a try
It's a looter shooter like Destiny and Boarderlands however It's slower paced(if you choose) and has a horror element to it. But it's the environments that saved the game imo.

Mfw you completely disregard fallout
The best parts of those games aren’t free
