I just bought it yesterday and set it downloading. I plan on playing it a bit for the first time later when I get off work. I'm simultaneously excited and nervous as I'm not really a soulslike person, but the game looks beautiful and I've been waiting for the right time to snatch it up. The world looks amazing, I just hope the combat doesn't frustrate me too badly.
It's funny I got a map fragment from that soldier encampment and the world looks really small. I can only assume it expands some?
I have died a couple times, that one patrolling knight in the camp was too much for me right now but one day I hope to return to exact my vengeance! And that ambush part I just ended up running through it on the horse. Having a blast. Wish I had more time to play.
The thing with Elden Ring is that there are enemies at the beginning where you are so weak you probably won’t be able to beat them. If you find, go away and explore and come back to him later.
I’m bad at most Souls-like games but Elden Ring is fun. Just figure out what type of weapons you like and the play-style you enjoy and invest points into them. The Elden Ring subreddit is pretty active too.
So I played about 2 hours. I chose Astrologer and my God it's so much fun. It's easier than I thought for now. I defeated the knight boss in the tutorial cave and the wolf den boss first try. I know probably not a grand achievement for most people but I was stoked. I ran through the ambush place with my horse, and have been subsisting on a steady diet of angry jellyfish. I need to put in for a vacation lol
Just wrapping up Gizeh before I move on myself. Troy Baker did a great job as Indiana, really impressive. Hope they make a sequel, I'll have to check out Wolfenstein now that I know about MachineGames
You can totally play Exodus as your first entry into the series, but you will be missing out on character back story and lore. I wouldn’t stress it too much. Play Exodus first, and then go back and play 2033 & Last Light, in that order. You’ll be fine, kinda like watching a movie, then watching the prequels.
If you like more melee based games and you’re into Japanese culture you should definitely try silent hill f too if you haven’t already. I personally thought f was the better game. But unlike 2 it takes more than one play through to start to get what’s going on and that was a turn off for some people, so bear that in mind. I did three play throughs and saw all 5 endings and really enjoyed it.
What game is this? I played too much open world or fps that now I am playing Stray and Lake. It is good to step away from the serious gameplay and do simple stuff and it is quite relaxing and enjoyable.
Your spade is battery powered and needs charging after a certain amount of use, and if it runs out it explodes and you die, losing all collected resources which you need to sell to buy upgrades to the spade, inventory, battery and a jet pack for when you dig further down.
You also need the money to buy recharges to the battery and your health as you can take damage from falling and a certain hazard that is deep underground.
You can also buy lights to stick to surfaces, and dynamite to destroy rocks you can’t dig through.
It does have a kind of story, but I won’t spoil it.
My current rotation is warframe (which to be fair, never leaves the rotation), battlefield 6, the pc versions of fallout 76 and death stranding for their achievement stacks, stellaris, wizard 101, and yakuza 4
I really like it, certain things can have some clunk but overall it's a ton of fun. I definitely decided to go the more evil route first time around which is rare for me.
Been replaying the og 360 ac games. Now mid AC Brotherhood. These games look so good on bc. Although only the first got x enhanced, all the games still look so good.
And their performance is superb on the SX. No screen tearing, much better frame pacing ect.
Recently replayed PoP Sands of Time. Truly the x enhanced games are the best thing Xbox did. Such a shame it’s been stopped. I think because publishers rather resale a remaster… That 9/10 just makes things to sharp and bright.
But the games that are bc are here to stay on better quality than their og release.
Alongside that I've been playing a few Xbox360 titles that have been sitting on my external drive for an eternity. Right now I'm a good way into The Darkness 2.
I've been trying to get into Dune Spice Wars, but procrastinating, because it's really complex and I loose patience. However, I injured my hand and controller gaming isn't the greatest for me right now. 😭
Clover Pit…took me a few runs to figure it out but it’s addictive AF. It ranks up there with Balatro and Ball X Pit as far as games getting their hooks into me goes.
Ooh, another to add to my list. Since playing Vampire Survivors, I'm now onto Ball x Pit. Have Soulstone Survivors (I think it's called) in my wishlist. Might add Brotato too.
I fking love KOA: Reckoning. I own and still play Re-Reckoning sometimes, but I actually also still have the old, delisted 360 version still on my Series X as well lol. Couldn't ever bring myself to delete it.
Took advantage of the 1.00 upgrade to Ultimate (which I've had before so Idk why I got the offer again but yay), and am currently checking out Mortal Kombat 1.
Elden ring, but it might be playing me

I would recommend watching some walkthroughs to get a sense of where to go and where to get essential items for the first few hours
After a few hours then explore on your own and have fun. You will die ALOT but the world is incredible.
I reached the Royal Capital where I am now stuck due to skill issue.
It's funny I got a map fragment from that soldier encampment and the world looks really small. I can only assume it expands some?

Strength, Dexterity and Faith are what I like.
So I played about 2 hours. I chose Astrologer and my God it's so much fun. It's easier than I thought for now. I defeated the knight boss in the tutorial cave and the wolf den boss first try. I just beat it for the first time yesterday and immediately went into new game plus and ran through half the game in about two hours on a revenge tour
Keep it up
Sunset Overdrive currently.
I wish there was a way to replay the story without deleting your save game.
That would be a nice feature.
Indiana jones!
This game sort of reignited my love for games
Dude same! Just got to Shanghai. After this I’m going to check out Wolfenstien series!
Just wrapping up Gizeh before I move on myself. Troy Baker did a great job as Indiana, really impressive. Hope they make a sequel, I'll have to check out Wolfenstein now that I know about MachineGames
Dude you’re in for a treat on the next few hours.
Play Hi-Fi Rush.
Started on Metro Exodus
Fantastic game. I recommend the first two if you haven’t played them. If you like to read, the first novel is great as well.
I bought the bundle but started with exodus. Do you reckon I’m missing out on something by not playing by order?
You can totally play Exodus as your first entry into the series, but you will be missing out on character back story and lore. I wouldn’t stress it too much. Play Exodus first, and then go back and play 2033 & Last Light, in that order. You’ll be fine, kinda like watching a movie, then watching the prequels.
Nice! Thank you
Metro is so underrated.
BG3 for me
Silent Hill 2 Remake
Just beat it today. That was a deeply unsettling experience…but such an incredible game.

I started playing A Game About Digging a Hole.
Tried to just for shits and giggles, but it turns out it’s actually quite a relaxing game.
What game is this? I played too much open world or fps that now I am playing Stray and Lake. It is good to step away from the serious gameplay and do simple stuff and it is quite relaxing and enjoyable.
Basic idea is you dig.
Mass Effect LE, about a third of the way through ME3 at this point.
Fortnite, I don't play a lot of games though.
Fallout 76; Fallout season 2 is out and it’s even more fun than usual!
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor and Stalker 2, currently.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
My current rotation is warframe (which to be fair, never leaves the rotation), battlefield 6, the pc versions of fallout 76 and death stranding for their achievement stacks, stellaris, wizard 101, and yakuza 4
Wow Wizard 101. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
Just as addictive as I remembered it being haha
The Finals. Just finished A Game About Digging a Hole. Going to get back into Diablo IV soon.
Banishers. Interesting concept, pretty clunky
I really like it, certain things can have some clunk but overall it's a ton of fun. I definitely decided to go the more evil route first time around which is rare for me.
