Every time this pops up, I check "Don't show this again". I keep getting shown this, again.

  • It doesn’t matter what you select. It just keeps coming back….

Oh god, this is the worst.

Like Windows 11... every time it updates, it INSISTS that I turn on backup for OneDrive. To be clear, I already use OneDrive. But it wants me to enable a feature where OneDrive will backup most folders on my computer (Desktop, Documents, Photos, etc.).

The only options it gives are "Yes" or "Remind Me in 3 Days."

There's no option for "No, I don't want this."

    It's ridiculous.

  • this is such a classic microsoft thing. idk why but this checkbox just doesn't work anywhere on MS products/websites. Not on Outlook, not on Microsofts own website, not on Xbox...

Seriously, someone at Microsoft’s entire job must be making sure this does not work anywhere.

  • That and the Microsoft website's "keep me signed in"

Yeah, most sites. "Remember this computer" site is like "alright, who are you again?"

Humble's been the worst to me in that regard. Once I even had to sign in 3 times while redeeming a bundle's keys.

Yes, Humble, it is still me, the person you verified 5 minutes ago, still signed in. Thanks for checking! Again...

Oh man that is super annoying; I also really hate things that captcha you because you've been redeeming too many keys. Like GoG; I was redeeming the free Amazon Prime things and it's all like "we think you might be a bot" just because... I mean of course I'm going to friggin' redeem those keys in a row. I've had the account for over 13 years and have made purchases on it, but just I'm redeeming stuff I paid for they think I'm a bot.

Oh god, Microsoft 365 = you have to sign in 365 times

  • Microsoft doesn't understand consent at all

  • Yes! This is so frustrating.

But, I hate to admit it, but the notifications that didn’t stop have shown me some pretty good sales on games I wanted.

I WANT the notifications. I also want to stop being asked if I want them to keep notifying me about it.

  • I get that everytime. So damn annoying

  • I don’t think “Don’t show this again” has ever worked on any website I’ve been on lmao

Oh yeah, on sites I've taken to making uBlock Origin filters for anything I don't want to see again. I'm just like "fine, I'll do it myself". Got rid of the "get new reddit" button when using old design reddit by doing that.

  • This gets so annoying!!! What if we ping them on a bunch of platforms and when they tell us to stop we just continue? Huh? How would they like it!?

  • What do you mean you don't want a message? Give us your email and phone number so we can send the same notification there too! Wouldn't want to miss the same sale they do every month......

  • 3 goddamned days in a row I have ticked that "Dont shown this again" box. I am well aware of what's for sale. I have been checking the store recently for holiday deals to start. I'm actively looking at deals and specials, I don't need be notified or reminded. FFS.

  • between this and the fact that ms store never opens on my Xbox without an unnecessary update every. single. time. leading to me clicking it 20 times, Xbox store is one of the worst marketplaces I've ever used. The UI is also worse than a lot of other stores imo.

  • I used to get it every time I opened the Xbox Store, now I don’t

  • Do you also get the thing where every time you open the store it says there's an update?

No, it just refuses to open when I click and I'm like "ugh, daily store update." Like it feels daily. Why does the store app on Xbox need to update so often. What are they changing in the app part itself?

  • Weird. I've never seen this before but I a dozen notifications a week about my wishlist

5 games on your wishlist is on sale

8 games on your wishlist is on sale

12 games on your wishlist is on sale

Over and over despite all the duplicates.

I also get so many Just 4 U deals for games I already own. This is the kind of thing you'd expect a trillion dollar corporation to fix using AI but I guess they're too busy fucking around

  • I'm getting a bit sick of being asked indeed

  • I knew exactly what this was going to be the moment I saw the title.

At least now I know I'm not the only one being taunted by it.

  • It's like me having to update the XBOX store every time I turn on my XBOX and go there, or try to redeem something.

  • I select that all the time, and they still don’t notify me of sales! And then yeah it not listening to “don’t show this again” is just the ‘fuck you’ on top of the cake

  • I've never even seen this pop up before, is this another US only thing?

  • Never once seen this message

  • No matter how many times I select that tick, it always comes back.

  • Every day I check this box again, despite selecting not showing it again.

  • On a side note, I wish Xbox would steal the Nintendo wishlist feature of only showing me what is on sale on my wishlist. On my Switch 2, I can go to wishlist and show only what is on sale, making it easier during sales to see what if anything I want to buy. Xbox, 18 items on sale, and I have to go through them all to see what is on sale.

  • Make sure you read the terms. Don’t want to end up as a human centi-Xbox.

  • Glad I’m not the only one. God I hate Xbox now. Shit used to be so much better back in the day

  • Checkbox works. Backend just ignores it

  • Skill issue tbh

Seriously, try checking the box in .0002 seconds and you will get a game free as well

  • I have never seen this notification, ever. Sure it's not something you have changed in your settings or profile privacy stuff?

It's not that I see it. It's that telling it to not show me again doesn't work. I want notifications of sales. I just don't want to keep being asked if I want the notifications.

🤦‍♂️ yes, and I am saying I get those and don't see this.

So again, go check your damn settings and privacy stuff to see if there is something that overrides this prompt. Clearly something is causing it to reoccur.
