I play a mix of solo and team AR, but none of my friends list play it. I've met people through random matching and have added them through the game's own friends list and we play together often.
All I'll say is that you have to be prepared to talk on the mic to get the best out of the game. If you are, I recommend it 100% - I haven't enjoyed a game so much in years.
I have over 100 hours in the game. So much fun. I have a full team I play with most of the time but honestly, I prefer the solo runs where I can go in and loot and get rich. The solo runs fund my pvp matches I do with said friends.
I’ve played Terminator for about 90 min so far. I believe that it is short like old games used to be but not that short? Maybe if speed running and already finishing it?
I really enjoyed my time with the game. Decent story, beautiful visuals, fun combat, and i really enjoyed build-crafting my mage and messing with the armors
Oh man, lol. Yah, I already have it, sorry. I meant, if I didn't already have it. And I agree the hate is a bit unwarranted. There are some gaps, for sure, but I just wrapped playthrough 4 or 5, lol.
Think I'm going to take a holiday break and resume playing once FFVII Remake Integrade comes out.
I put in WORK this year on the Xbox - just since late August, cranked out like four Yakuza games, Persona 5 Royal, Outer Worlds 1 and 2, Disco Elysium, Final Fantasy XVI, replayed Jedi Fallen Order then played Survivor - plus a dozen or so quickie Game Pass games (Keeper, games like that), and that's just what I can remember off the top of my head.
Heard Dave the Diver is on sale, may pick that up and maybe the 2D Terminator game, but going to use the next month or so to recharge the batteries!!
I’ve never been huge into horror games, but for the price of a coffee at tim’s I had to pick it up! I work on the atlantic as well so excited to start my play through tonight
Not sure if I'll get anything from the countdown sale. Haven't looked at the full list. 9 out of 42 things on my wishlist are on sale but none are on sale enough to be an immediate pick up unless I get a gift card.
I did get 2 cat games and Monument valley 1 & 2 last week from the buy 1 get 1 free sale.
I did recently splurge on quite a few games during the Black Friday sale, including High on Life and Forza Horizon 5 (games I had previously started back when I had Game Pass Ultimate but never finished). Also bought a new custom controller which just arrived today (woohoo) and bought Terminator 2D: No Fate Day One Edition which I'm looking forward to playing
Just picked up Star Wars Outlaws used from GS for $10, so looking to possibly pick up the DLC on this sale. For whatever reason the individual episodes are cheaper than buying the Season Pass (at its lowest price).
Grabbed ball x pit on xbox and also mass effect trilogy digital primarily bc that one still acts up a bit when installing from disc. So more a quality of life buy for me. 😬
I feel like there were better deals last winter. I was gonna get Borderlands 4 and AC Shadows but will wait till they're cheaper. Picked up Wanderstop ($15 USD) and A Hat in Time ($15 USD) which I'm excited about though.
Just picked up Arc Raiders and I have no idea what I’m doing, but having fun trying to figure it out. Some guy saved me from a drone thingy and told me he was friendly, then shot me in the back. I still have $40 credit but stuck deciding what to get.
Nothing in countdown sales, but I'm going to stock myself up with online code for 12 months of Xbox Game Pass Essential (the lowest tier as I don't need any higher tier), and Year 3 Pass for The Crew Motorfest (already owns Year 1 and Year 2 Passes).
For the countdown sale I've gotten Elden Ring, and the three Tomb Raider games so far. I'm trying to not buy anything else but I probably will lol.
I already got The Witcher 3, Metro Exodus, AC origins and Odyssey, along with their season passes, and the season pass for Valhalla from the black Friday and beyond sales.
I think I might have a problem. But everything was dirt cheap so I had to get them at that price. I'll play them all, eventually...
Probably buying Another Crab’s Tale with reward points and a gift card from surveys. The “real” money has been spent on Christmas presents, food and bills.
I feel like Xbox sales have almost always been great, and there are lots of fun and affordable games for as low as 1-3 dollars.
I picked up Star Wars Outlaws for dirt cheap with DLC in the sale. Not a terrible game, good if you enjoy Star Wars certainly. I'm particularly enjoying the card game mini game
Debt
😭😭
Truly. I was blessed to spend a lot of money on gaming throughout the year, using this time to let my pockets breath
The year of savings has gone to all the gifts and food expenses for Christmas/new years. It blows my mind. And MY GAMES haha
Crying and debt
I picked up an Xbox Series X. Glad to join you guys. Now gotta catch up with all the games. First purchase is Arc Raiders and game pass
howdy pardner
Was waiting for Arc to go on sale, perfect timing
Was catching up on all gamepass games until I picked up arc raiders. Now that’s all I play
Dave the Diver for 10 :)
I have never heard of this before today, and you’re like the 4th person that’s brought it up to me. Think the world is trying to tell me something
great game - everyone who has ever played it loves it me included.
Epic games gave this game in 2024?? I have in my pc, but cannot play yet
It's only just come to Xbox .I wish it was on gamepass as it looks quite fun. Maybe one day.
I bought a refurbished original Xbox to play my childhood collection on
Got enough of a backlog, but considering FF Tactics.
I picked up - Arc Raiders - Fallout 4 Anniversary - Termindator 2D - and System Schock this week.
Been seeing a lot of good things about AR, is it worth it for someone who will mostly play by himself?
I’m over 150 hours in and I have only ever played solo. Needless to say I enjoy it quite a bit
I hope so. My buddy has been telling me how good it is. I plan on maily playing also.
Your mileage may vary but Solo matches tend to have more friendly interactions, whereas Duos or Trios tend to shoot on sight.
I have over 100 hours in the game. So much fun. I have a full team I play with most of the time but honestly, I prefer the solo runs where I can go in and loot and get rich. The solo runs fund my pvp matches I do with said friends.
I heard Terminator 2D is literally 1 hour long
Also heads up, a big update should be coming soon for System Shock. I've been waiting years to play it
I’ve played Terminator for about 90 min so far. I believe that it is short like old games used to be but not that short? Maybe if speed running and already finishing it?
Ahh gotcha. That's good to know
I heard its short but good for replays
Probably covid and a family argument
Bringing back the classics!
FOr my fella, Oblivion and the legendary ME. I also have my eye on elder scrolls 5. If I were buying a game in sale for myself, maybe Veilguard?
I’ve played skyrim and oblivion through so many times. Skyrim is a top 3 game in my opinion
Dragon age inquisition might be worth a play too if you haven’t before
Hmm. I should get it then. He had like 24 days playtime, but hasn't played in more than a month, so I wasn't 100%.
Don't listen to the Veilguard hate!
Hahah thats awesome! What was your favorite class to play?
Space Marines 2 and Dave the Diver.
You guys are getting something for Christmas?
Think I'm going to take a holiday break and resume playing once FFVII Remake Integrade comes out.

I’m getting an original Xbox with a couple of old games
Satisfactory
I upgraded from Series s to Series x and it was totally worth it. I started the current Gen with a PS5 - - > Then Serie S - - > and now Series X
Soma is $2.99 right now thinking about picking it up
Great game.
I’ve never been huge into horror games, but for the price of a coffee at tim’s I had to pick it up! I work on the atlantic as well so excited to start my play through tonight
Just bought Ball x Pit after being hooked by Vampire Survivors.
Ball x Pit. Absolutely superb game.

I got death stranding, re4 gold edition, Greedfall, and Shadow of war😁
Probably nothing. I wanted a new series X. It’s just too much right now.

Ive brought enough to keep me going until 2026. If I do probably terminator.
I wanted to buy Ace Combat for $6 but it’s not on sale anymore…
You just unlocked a hidden memory of me and my cousins playing ace combat 6 when we got our first xbox 360 for christmas. Thanks for that 🫡
Probably a new controller mine broke and I just haven't played on Xbox in a few months

I'm saving ms points to be used to buy games next year at discount. For the rest of the year? Nothing.
I really want to play Expedition 33 but i have to wait because i spent too much on Christmas. But that would be my choice
Just picked up Star Wars Outlaws used from GS for $10, so looking to possibly pick up the DLC on this sale. For whatever reason the individual episodes are cheaper than buying the Season Pass (at its lowest price).
I'm spending about 2hundy on big games I've had waiting for this sale.
Picked up the switch version of hollow knight.
Grabbed ball x pit on xbox and also mass effect trilogy digital primarily bc that one still acts up a bit when installing from disc. So more a quality of life buy for me. 😬
I also had £100 voucher and bought Silent Hill F and Metal Gear Solid Delta.
I feel like there were better deals last winter. I was gonna get Borderlands 4 and AC Shadows but will wait till they're cheaper. Picked up Wanderstop ($15 USD) and A Hat in Time ($15 USD) which I'm excited about though.

Dying Light and Persona 5
Just picked up divinity bundle for like $24
Nothing in countdown sales, but I'm going to stock myself up with online code for 12 months of Xbox Game Pass Essential (the lowest tier as I don't need any higher tier), and Year 3 Pass for The Crew Motorfest (already owns Year 1 and Year 2 Passes).
Dave the diver and maybe avowed. I already bought shadow of the erdtree and it’s consumed my life.
Kcd saga edition
Tainted grail is looking pretty good for 35
For the countdown sale I've gotten Elden Ring, and the three Tomb Raider games so far.

I wanna try getting assetto Corsa but low on cash lol 😆
I got DOS2 on sale. Runs way better on Series X now than it does on my M4 Mac
I'm planning on picking up some of those Square Enix games on sale, (definitely Octopath Traveler 2).
I picked up Star Wars Outlaws for dirt cheap with DLC in the sale. Not a terrible game, good if you enjoy Star Wars certainly. I'm particularly enjoying the card game mini game
