I read that in a few areas north of Douglas and South of Wright recorded gusts of 144 mph on Wednesday. Here in Gillette, the wind was 41 mph sustained with gusts up to 75mph
The wind this week was brutal, I had a lot of work outside, with everyone wearing hard hats, they kept blowing off peoples heads, and they had to run after them. I had mine tightened down so much that I had a killer headache at the end of the day, and the loud wind definitely wasn’t helping anything. The week was brutal.
I checked with my property manager. My insurance required me to get one because I was more than 100 miles away. I was pissed at first but have found out was the best thing ever.
To top it off? We had been trying to get two large old cottonwoods out that were on the property line. I didn't know she had finally found someone - they got them both down Tuesday! Shout out to Brokerage Southwest in Rock Springs!
I wish we had more snow and less wind, though not cleaning off my car in the morning has been nice, the wind has seemed worse this year than previous ones.
“I’m thinking about moving to Wyoming. Is there anything I should know?”
Yes, this.
Haha!
"I'm moving cross country in January. Is this a good route to drive?"
Only I-80 is highlighted
AKA The Pass of Caradhras
Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; nai yarvaxea rasselya!
Yes, don't at all costs. Most depressing place/s I've ever been.
I think you missed the joke. Also, incorrect.
must have but born and raised and glad to have the resources to have escaped.
Cool. Thanks for stopping by.
Wyoming isn't built for the weak💪

South Dakota is getting Wyoming force winds. Thanks neighbor :)
It's good to share!
Do you know why it's windy in South Dakota?
Because Minnesota sucks and Wyoming blows.
I'll show myself out.
Haven’t seen that one in a while. Haha.
Blame Minnesota. They suck.
It’s crazy I work on a wind farm north of Douglas and our highest recorded wind this week was 115mph average 80-90mph

It's getting pretty now :)
Home may be missing.

I drove from Laramie to La Barge and back yesterday. Took me two tanks of gas to get there and only one tank to get back. Gotta love a tail wind!
Downhill right?
When anyone asks why Wyoming's population is so small, this map is the answer.
Lived in Hanna Wyoming for about 10 years. Drove to Rock springs and back every weekend for 2 years. Can confirm!
Good old Big Horn Basin . It’s like a whole different country down in the bathtub. Good luck to everybody else.
Glad winter showed up finally.

Ah, now it really feels like Christmas.
Finally die down where I'm at.
Didn’t realize I’d miss the terrible road conditions of this place so much😂
Lots of black ice.
