• It's going to force our legislature to address our marijuana laws because WY statute refers to it as a schedule 1 drug.

  • As a cancer patient, I really could use this. Chemo is rough. Right now I can’t get a prescription from my doctor because I’m a Wyoming resident.

It actually helps too. I resisted because I was nauseous and was afraid it would just make it worse. When I finally tried it it was amazing how fast it worked. There are some excellent prescription drugs for nausea but they are expensive and providers might not cover them. Those were good too, but still benefited from a bit of weed.

I have 3 drugs for nausea. None of them are completely effective or without some dreadful side effects.

There was a state legislator awhile ago who tried to get WY behind medical marijuana because her husband had a medical condition that was really best served by weed. I can’t remember- cancer? Chronic pain? She of course was laughed at and I think her husband passed away. It was so sad.

  • I'm honestly surprised Wyoming hasn't filed Articles of Secession before Draft-Dodging Dope-Smoking Donny can flood their beautiful Gawd's Cuntry with godless hippies and homos

    Wish this was /s

Lol God the comments lol 🤣🤣

  • My father is going to have an aneurism that his God Führer is relaxing the laws on “that gateway drug”…but the brain damage will help him come to terms with it, like always.

Might have a suggestion of something to help with that brain damage……Hey Dad, want a mint?

  • If Daddy Trump says it’s OK, by God we’ll follow along, despite digging our heels in for a decade.

    lol at “a” decade.

Nancy “the queen of head” Reagan was decrying it 4 decades ago.

Really just meant since states like Colorado have legalized it and Wyoming has dug in.

    The Throat G.O.A.T.!

Lol this is the funniest comment I've read all week, thank you 😅

  • Don’t hold your breath.

Unless it comes with a big rip.

  • He keeps yapping..and yapping but never does anything

  • Don't give me hope lol

There is no hope. Marijuana by GOD'S law is not a drug but a plant put on our earth to use how we intend to use it, but should never be synthesized in to a pill form because pills are no good for our health to begin with.

  • I look forward to the freedumb caucus being conflicted when they realize that Trump agrees with Karlee Provenza.

  • Here we go. Will MAGA embrace medical marijuana or decide to split? Beef was one thing but the devil's lettuce? Cue up Okie from Muskogee.

Maybe if we rename marijuana to “Trump weed”

You laugh but that business would make bank for him, a possible explanation.

Yes. There must be some grift already.

Interesting question. I don't think the legislature will go along. But what can they do?

They could write a state law against it but this is an interesting point in Trump support where there could be disagreement. That is what is so fascinating. I am looking forward to a Freedom Caucus response. Think of the tax revenue and of course freedom.

The will have to define it as a schedule 3 drug and reasses the penalties.

    Besides legalize recreationally or medically?

  • Yeah right! There’s no way. Wyoming is to conservative and they absolutely make to much money off the jail time/penalties. The people boy way I could see this happen is if they went the same route as Ohio and right it into their state law that only five people can grow all the weed. This insures that the correct duche bags get their money. I just don’t see the same state that created the freedom caucus to allow the average Wyomingite to rake it in the green rush. States like Oregon, Washington, Colorado have average folks turning into zillionaires overnight. Kind of akin to the Tobacco days of the South.

Anyways, I digress, we are moving closer to the present. So, that’s awesome.

    for others:

the people boy way I could see this happen

    is meant to be

the only way i could see this happen

not being a dick, that was just hard for me to parse initially, so i’m just trying to help others with the same issue.

Also, ohio just restricted the cannabis laws significantly. Only 400 locations in the whole state can sell cannabis legally, they’ve banned the hemp-derived cannabinoids from being sold by anyone other than these 400 stores (which the cannabis industry seems to refuse to sell; i prefer these cannabinoids to the real thing personally as the real thing can be too strong, but D8, HHC, and H4CBD aren’t, and many people feel the same as me), and then they made it so you can’t grow more than 6 or 12 plants to a household (so if someone else is growing but won’t share, you’re fucked; i can’t fully recall the exact numbers though as i don’t live there lol).

Yeah when we could get D8 here, I was pretty stoked. That shit straight up cures my anxiety without making me retarded like the real thing does.

  • This will be interesting to watch.

  • I really hope so cause it’s laughable just how illegal it is here. The fact that you can’t even get it for medical reasons is plain cruel.

There is no medical use at all in Wyoming including " ultra specific" ailments. Wyoming will be the last state in the union to legalize even for medical purposes.

I should’ve clarified, that’s my bad. No I know. The specific thing is so rare, and you can still technically be denied. Which basically means no medicinal usage

I live in Wyoming and there is zero approval process for any medical ailment. Marijuana is 100% illegal in all aspects in this state. Only way to get it, is to drive to Colorado which most of us do.

Maybe my research was wrong then. I also live here, and I have chronic pain man. I don’t know why you’re arguing with me….

Edit: I edited that part out, so that there’s no further confusion. I was just highlighting how backwards the laws are

CBD and THC are vastly different. No arguments here man, hope you getter better soon.

No I know. Also, no chronic pain doesn’t get better, but it’s fine

Well hopefully we can elect some pro marijuana candidates and make progress even if it’s just for people like you who need it to try and enjoy some semblance of life without pain. Sorry man

Yeah i mean in this thread you have a couple people with cancer talking about how they can’t get a script. That’s fucked.

Anyone should be able to use anything they wish, regardless of purpose. Believing otherwise is cruelty.

    I know I saw that :(

You’d think they’d be able to care about people more since there are so few of us living in the state, but control and fear knows no bounds

Yeah. It’s unfortunate, but it’s just an inherent fact of the system we live under. The only way to get out is to build a new one which actually cares about the individual and allows them to actualize their desires and autonomy.

Such a world is possible, but only if we put it into action. Otherwise this will continue to occur just as it’s been occurring for the past 4000-6000 years.

We got THC A stuff so its not even that bad bro.

  • Wyomingites are so fucking stupid

then get out the sub nga

    Ain’t in it bud

  • I don’t have a lot of faith in Wyoming.

  • Typical Christian conservative Republican Nazi tyranny targeting the weak and sick with Jim Crow laws aimed at keeping generations of minorities in bondage to the legal system.

  • This was just done for the tax revenue, they didnt want to make things easier for pot smokers, but hey, we will take the win and still hate him.

  • You can go to any street corner in any small town in Wyoming and buy a half gallon of tequila and poison yourself and have a much higher risk of harming others, but heaven help us if someone smokes a joint

  • Only Idaho is only one that still Bans it Even Utah allows it

  • Trump could cure cancer and you would still complain. This is a common sense move based on of course taxing it, Wyoming would be smart to follow suit.

People are annoyed that conservatives constantly flip their opinion based on what Trump likes. The right have been pushing against Marijuana for the longest time, and as soon as Trump wants that relaxed, they're all fine with Marijuana now. It shows their values aren't actually meaningful to them, and their moral posturing is an act.

Marijuana is a racist term that was created to artificially associate Cannabis with brown spanish-speaking people to justify the fearmongering during the reefer madness days. So that way whenever people think of Cannabis, they think of Mexican and South American immigrants. Even spanish speaking folk don’t call Cannabis “marijuana” (at least, they didn’t originally).

Let’s move past this racist term and just call it what it is—Cannabis.

If you don’t believe me, look into it. What i say is true.

And this is not me saying you are racist for using the term. I don’t know you, i cannot say that, and regardless, i could not say that based on this alone. I am calling the term itself racist, not you. I have faith that you aren’t racist, and if you aren’t, you likely won’t have much of an issue changing your vocabulary.

And i already know that someone will suggest that “the term does no harm in the modern day”, but it does. Notice how the people who predominately and most consistently (this is the important part) use the term are state actors (police, judges, politicians, etc)? That’s intentional. Notice how drugs are still used to cast Latin Americans as inherent criminals? That’s intentional, and Cannabis still has a part to play in that casting.

The term is unfortunately inherently corrupted by its origin, regardless of how you use it or what you personally think of when you hear the term.

The solution is simple: don’t use that specific word. There are literally over 1,200 other terms to use to refer to the cannabis plant: Cannabis, weed, pot, flower, dope, boof, cabbage, chronic, reefer, devils lettuce, grass, ganja, zaza—and that’s just 13 names out of literally over a thousand lol. In other words, your vocabulary will not be constrained by avoiding “Marijuana” specifically.

aint nobody besides me reading that so TLDR: just call it cannabis or weed and also marijuana has racist connotatiobs

Its politics..each side only does the opposite of the other like jealous twins. Im going to make a pie because you made a cake. Or cake sucks im going to make a better one.

Truly, the great magnanimous leadership we were promised. /s

Its no longer about helping the people its about helping themselves

I doubt Trump could cure cancer.

Sure he could. Ask him. 😆😆

I was just watching the news and heard Lummis speak about this topic her response Medical marijuana seems to have a lot of promise, but just, you know, I think it's a dangerous drugs, and I'm not so sure that's a good decision, but we'll see how it plays out," Graham said. "My state has neither recreational nor a medical marijuana, and quite frankly, I like it that way," Lummis added. Whoah we can’t have the devil’s lettuce in our state. I’m now waiting for the Freedom Caucus response like others. If “devil’s lettuce” were really that evil, Snoop Dogg would be summoning demons every time he lights up—
instead, the worst he summons is the munchies and a hit single. The Devil’s lettuce it’s a dangerous salad lol 😂

It's good for the oil business that everybody and their mother just drives down to CO to get their supply 😂

My husband has always said that WY will pride itself on being the last one standing when it comes to weed. They will advertise being “drug-free”. So backwards

Trump could not actually cure cancer.

Nobody knows cancer like Trump does

He fucked over the people the actually cure cancer. But yeah, even an abhorrent spoiled fascist brat like Trump will do something positive now and again. He pushed for the rush to a covid vaccine too. Doesn't undo the harm he has done to the country and the constitution.

Like affordability, cancer is a hoax.

  • It's still illegal at the federal level. Banks still cannot be involved.

The statement “banks still cannot be involved” is completely false. Banks may do business with the cannabis industry as long as they follow certain guidelines.

Major Banks' Stance: Most large, national banks, which are often federally insured (FDIC), refuse to offer services to "plant-touching" cannabis businesses for fear of losing their federal insurance or facing federal penalties.

Limited Options: Cannabis companies often rely on a patchwork of services from smaller state-chartered banks and credit unions that have a higher risk tolerance. These institutions must perform extensive and ongoing due diligence to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and file specific "suspicious activity reports" (SARs) for every transaction, leading to higher fees for the cannabis businesses.

Some national banks are, in fact, offering services to the industry. Many state chartered banks are as well. “Refusing to offer” is clearly different than “cannot be involved.” Any bank may be involved, and for those involved, the compliance is costly and cumbersome, but very, very profitable if done correctly.

I'd encourage you to look one state north or south amigo, banks are absolutely involved even with current federal laws. If you don't understand that then you're a fool.

  • No it will not. We can see the cluster f@ck legal weed has made Colorado.

Legalization made Colorado more than a billion tax dollars just by 2019. It also vastly decreased possession arrests so cops and courts have more time to pursue more serious crimes, reduced prison overcrowding, created thousands of jobs, and pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into public schools and public health. Doesn't sound like a clusterfuck to me and Lord knows that Wyoming could desperately use more funding for its health and education.

Tax revenue is now a “cluster fuck”. Wyomingites are retarded. I’m glad Trump brought that word back, because it describes conservatives from Wyoming perfectly. The only place that doesn’t need help in Wyoming is Jackson, and it’s full of liberals. The rest of the state is a bunch of poor drunkards who listen to whatever the orange baboon says.
