Has there been any news about what happens to Bronze after Lemix ends? Wondering if I should just spend it all or hold it if it’s getting converted to something else after.
I'm almost positive it's a use it or lose it situation. When I've transferred people from lemix to live, they've not had anything "extra" from the bronze I stupidly forgot to send to someone else first.
I've not paid attention to that. If they haven't locked out transfers to normal servers you could make an alt, transfer some bronze and nothing else to it, and then see what they transfer over with.
from my own beta testing it feels very....barebones
like, on one hand im confused why they try a "burst window that you can extend by having high uptime" playstyle AGAIN, when we had that many times and it ended in problems every single time, they literally just removed that stuff from Devestation Evoker
and on the otherhand the gameplay itself is just TOO simple, you just spam Consume all the time until your bar is full, then you press Void Ray and repeat
Yeah, I'm really hoping they buff the melee talents, they sold me on hybrid DPS but I'll be really disappointed if the meta build is just full caster
I agree with the WoWHead article from today asking for a buff to Reap to incentivize the dip-in dip-out playstyle instead of just strafing back and forth casting Consume over and over, as well as the "you should only lose your soul fragments when Collapsing Star connects with something" instead of losing them if your cast stops
I've been really excited to play the spec with optimized gear and not questing greens from the beta that I played with briefly
Honestly, I’m so tired of the constant addon doomposting on the main sub. The overall vibe there is just exhaustingly toxic.
I’m actually excited to play a new expansion and see how wow feels without being full of third-party addons telling me how to breathe. If Blizzard designs fights and dungeons around the idea that you can just play the game without external software, that’s a massive W for the future of wow.
There's a post up right now complaining about losing a weakaura reminding them to apply poisons.
They last an hour.
People are being downvoted for suggesting they simply get into the habit of applying them before every M+ or perhaps simply look at the top right of the screen.
I really don't want to be a gatekeeping dickhead, but damn if you can't remember to press a button once every 60 minutes then you should just stick to idle games.
Yeah, it's mental. And I was there with them too, had weak auras for everything, I played so many alts so I had so many weakauras installed, some classes I used hekili with to play for me.
Going to be super interesting to learn the game again without anything of it. :D
I never bought into you need addons to play anyways. I've always played with pretty minimal. I had DBM, and a weak aura to track frenzy stacks. Blizz UI can track frenzy natively now so got rid of the weakaura. We'll see how the DBM replacement goes. I have a feeling I'm gonna barely notice the change.
If Blizzard designs fights and dungeons around the idea that you can just play the game without external software
Thats kind of the thing though, they've already done this several times. The vast majority of the mythic bosses they've recently released don't require these computational weak auras that people complain about. They proven they can make engaging fights without WeakAuras being a requirement (Ky'veza in NP is a great example of this).
The only one making the choice to design fights around addons was Blizzard.
.......................what stopped you from just not ussing addons if you didnt like them? that part just doesnt make sense for me everytime its brought up, if you dont do high level m+ or mythic raiding there was never any "addon requirment" at all, and it exists for that content because the game is bad at giving you information that you actually need to do the fights
and btw, the entire "designs fights around addons" was never a real thing, addons where used to fix badly designed stuff that blizzard never borthered to fix or adress, not the other way around, if a figh didnt need addons to be played, people didnt use them lol
and that will still exists, they will still make badly designed fights that will need 3rd party tools to be in a playable state, its just becomming even MORE annoying to deal with now because you will probably need multiple addons for that instead of just 1 WA pack
what stopped you from just not ussing addons if you didnt like them?
Nothing, but addons been such a staple everyone just used them. This thing is just the push me and my mates needed to go ahead and just get rid of them all. :)
Eh, I doubt it, I just barely hit 3k rating in m+, and do HC raids. I'd agree with you if achieving those things is going to be impossible without heaps of combat addons.
YouTube have cursed me with another one of those YouTubers who probably hasn't played the game since Cata, who think they can give their opinion about the current state of game. Always the same opinions like "esports" and "lfr". Bonus points if they refer to words like "giga","chad","alpha".
i'm 99% sure these kind of people want to be around people socializing and not actually the ones socializing -- they want to be forums lurkers to wow socialization. i say this because if they wanted to actually be social there are still 1 million ways (even beyond rp realms) to do so. i shoot the shit with people before m+ runs start all the time.
Classic peeps not taking the extended TBC prepatch maintenance well. I'm not even playing classic or a programmer, but from the second I read "24 hour maintenance" and what Blizz was trying to accomplish with that, I had a feeling that it would take much longer.
They've also whipped themselves into a frenzy thinking the cost of a character boost has doubled and see no difference between a once-per-account boost in a bundle and standalone, no limits boost that costs the same in every version of the game.
Also the concept of deterrence pricing is a something that can never exist
The dracthyr weekly whine posts in the main sub are possibly even more eye rolling than the high elves discourse back in the day. Inevitably the OP and the rest of most strident complainers don’t even play evoker or dracthyr in general.
Using the fucking bug report to whine about dracthyr armor is certainly a sensible thing.
Only one class is locked to the race and you can essentially treat it as a fancier moonkin form with that class considering you've got a non-dragon form to shift into.
No other class has to even go into the dragon form outside of soar, you can just ignore it. Its not the end of the world.
I genuinely believe at this point that the mainsub has so little to bitch about somehow that they're just picking whatever scraps they can find.
Only one class is locked to the race and you can essentially treat it as a fancier moonkin form with that class considering you've got a non-dragon form to shift into.
this is what ive been saying ever since drachtyr release and everytime i get told "NOT ITS NO THE SAME" when it kinda is
yep same. but if you tell that to main sub they'll hit you with the "um actually, Drachtyr is a race and a not a class like druids therefore its bad for some reason"
Yeah. Obviously I would love to get full transmog options for dracthyr, but it's so easy to make really great looking characters with just the barbershop armour that I don't believe anyone who says that they would totally play dracthyrs if only they could transmog. And the new transmog system fixes my personal main complaint (having to find shoulders that match both the barbershop armour and the visage form transmog). I do wish we'd get some more barbershop options though– I remember an interview or something where Blizz said that there would be regular additions to the barbershop armour to make up for the lack of transmog, but to my knowledge there hasn't been anything.
And since you can't get into new-Eversong or Silvermoon until the expansion launches they still have like 5 weeks. I'd bet it shows up in the next build
/mcj
wtf why hasnt anyone posted a goatse of the new midnight login screen yet

Damn I had a very very small hope it would transfer to order hall resources. I’ll just buy everything remaining!
I've not paid attention to that. If they haven't locked out transfers to normal servers you could make an alt, transfer some bronze and nothing else to it, and then see what they transfer over with.
Devo DH is gonna suck isn't it
It'll suck but I'm gonna play it because I'm still chasing the high that was Legion Surrender to Madness (or just Legion spriest in general).

it feels like a Healer DMG rotation on a DPS spec

this is the one time i will agree with the mainsub. its gonna be a disaster
.......................what stopped you from just not ussing addons if you didnt like them? that part just doesnt make sense for me everytime its brought up, if you dont do high level m+ or mythic raiding there was never any "addon requirment" at all, and it exists for that content because the game is bad at giving you information that you actually need to do the fights

They are 100% right about it being a disaster and you are in for a seriously rude awakening.
If you're reliant on addons there'll probably be a lot of growing pains, but if you're not, it's not as much of an issue.
Eh, I doubt it, I just barely hit 3k rating in m+, and do HC raids. I'd agree with you if achieving those things is going to be impossible without heaps of combat addons.
I'm still positive that it'll be fine =)
YouTube have cursed me with another one of those YouTubers who probably hasn't played the game since Cata, who think they can give their opinion about the current state of game. Always the same opinions like "esports" and "lfr". Bonus points if they refer to words like "giga","chad","alpha".
"i play solo, i miss the social aspect of the game sometimes"
man, if only there was a way to solve that problem
i'm 99% sure these kind of people want to be around people socializing and not actually the ones socializing -- they want to be forums lurkers to wow socialization. i say this because if they wanted to actually be social there are still 1 million ways (even beyond rp realms) to do so. i shoot the shit with people before m+ runs start all the time.
my favorite one is "i miss the good old days when people talked to each other / explored the world / went to events".
like my brother in christ, you are describing a present day RP realm.

you know what to do, fellas

I think at the very least dracs should be able to mog hats.
I am willing to bully Blizz over this.
I am in full support of top hats for a truly dapper dracthyr mog. 🎩🐉

I've always treated Dracthyr like a customizable druid form.
yep same. but if you tell that to main sub they'll hit you with the "um actually, Drachtyr is a race and a not a class like druids therefore its bad for some reason"
"No, see, it's an ISSUE with the game and it's the issue reporter. I'm definitely not just being willfully obtuse."
Yeah. Prepatch next week but no music yet? Bit weird, unless I've missed it?
There is login music now on the PTR at least.
And since you can't get into new-Eversong or Silvermoon until the expansion launches they still have like 5 weeks. I'd bet it shows up in the next build
