President Trump sues BBC for $10 billion, accusing it of defamation over editing of Trump's Jan. 6 speech: "I'm suing the BBC for putting words in my mouth. They’re beautiful words, talking about patriotism and all of good the things that I said. They didn’t say that, but they put terrible words."

Hypocrisy isn't a strong enough word to describe Trump’s moral bankruptcy.

If he were to be sued for $10B every time he defamed someone, the total would exceed the entirety of all debt on this planet.

The guy who incited a treasonous riot is mad that the video clips shown make it abundantly clear that he incited a treasonous riot?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the words did actually come from his mouth, but the issue was the BBC didn't make the edits clear - which I'll agree might amount to deceptive editting. The issue for any lawsuit however is going to be whether they were taken out of context to change the overall meaning, which I see as an uphill battle considering all the contemporaneous quotes and analysis from even his supporters in congress at the time.

One of the most ironic things about this case however is that the person who reported on the editted quote and highlighted this in the media did the exact same thing - https://www.thenewworld.co.uk/james-ball-exclusive-the-error-at-the-heart-of-trumps-bbc-attack/

It looks like the dude on the right is crying, perhaps for the country. I don't know him, but it's a reasonable thing to do when something you love is being beaten

Then there will be many more lawsuits to come, because every day a load of crap comes out of your mouth. I never imagined that all of that was AI. Or are you once again using double standards?

The BBC is entirely funded by the British public.

To sue the BBC for 10 billion dollars is to sue every british licence fee payer $360 per person.

This is a direct attack from the president of the USA - personally - on the British public.

Trump is definitely a vexatious litigant. Always on the attack. Maybe it's time others returned fire and bury him and his business/family in litigation as well. Just an absolute pile on. Trump is and always has been a bully. Litigation is his tool of choice. I know it's risky but maybe it's time he got a taste of his own tactics

OKAY... So full records on JAN. 06 will be needed at trial and he will need to testify and be present for questioning about his motives of why he agitated a group of Racist YAHOOs to hang Mike Pence.
