Maybe it's the beer talking, Donald. But you've got a butt that won't quit. They've got these big chewy pretzels here meddanrtargym Five dollars?! Get outta here!
Well time to go to work. Little do they know I'm ducking out early to take the Duff Brewery tour. Roll in at 9, punch out at 5. That's the plan. They don't suspect a thing. Well, off to the Pentagon then to the Duff Brewery. Uh oh did I say that or just think it? I got to think of a lie fast!
The article doesn't need to say it for us to know that it's true. An article doesn't need to say the sky is blue on any given day, we have enough evidence that we can assume it without evidence to the contrary.
Last time we pulled out of Syria, Russia went in and killed 600,000 people. Hillary told us what would happen if we left and we collectively called her a war monger. Turns out she was right.
Pulling out of Syria would be a surefire way to launch the area back into the worst place on Earth (although Sudan might give it a run for its money).
If you guys support letting all those people die, then that's that. But you should consider the consequences.
Why should western boys be sent to die instead? How is any of this our fight or have anything to do with our security? Syria and the surrounding stake holding nations should be the ones intervening if it needs to be done.
The Islamic State has launched attacks on US soil, killing innocent civilians. They've also carried out attacks on or attempted to attack every other Western country.
A hegemonic Europe dominating Germany would be direct threat to UK interests, maintaining the balance of power on the continent has been the UK's foreign policy goal since they have been a nation.
It's really weird. Some people believe the US is in way too many wars and places it shouldn't be.. Then on the other hand, they want the US everywhere to solve every problem. hmm..
The US started acting as world police because it was the wealthiest and strongest superpower of a nation and had the resources to be able to commit to that responsibility and frankly, it was necessary to some degree. It's funny because when the US does help the crying begins, however when help is needed, the US is usually asked to intervene. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. The world isn't ready for the consequences of the US becoming isolationist.
The issue is American companies own oil refineries or have heavily invested in the area. It’s ok if the area is properly secured by a government.
The last 10-15 years (since the civil war really started) that has not been possible. With Russian and Turkish troops in the area these companies have begged the US government for protection. The US government has decided that it’s an economically important zone. So they agreed to send troops and support local militia in the Syrian civil war. With that over, the US wary of the new government, Russia and Turkish troops, have kept troops in the region. The US (since Syrian president visited the US president) has decided to use joint patrols in an attempt to get the Syrian government to take up security in the area. (And keep the new Syrian state friendly)
We can’t just “pull out”. That would leave valuable oil resources and technology to unfriendly states such as Russia. Those fields could help support Russia in its war on Ukraine. It’s worth Billons and has valuable resources like pumps that are undamaged.
In effect yes. In part to defend the capital investment in material. The pumps and parts could be incentive for Russia as its own oil refinery issues. (Smoking accidents and falling debris /s)
Either you're joking or you know very little about the Middle East. Any valuable technology that could be sold at a reasonable price and have a buyer has already been sold. Unless, of course, these fields are 100% staffed and guarded by foreign personnel, which is unlikely.
The refinery’s and capital investment is worth too much to abandon. The only way to get out is to support local control that is friendly. That’s joint patrols.
ISIS still has a few thousand fighters active in Syria alone and 10k+ are held prisoner in camps in various countries (Syria, Iraq, etc). They’ve also transitioned into an insurgency, so the fight against them will likely never 100% be over.
They were there to defend economic interests of the US while the warring groups fought it out. The US is not actively engaging anyone in Syria unless they are threatened
We were there as a proxy for the civil war. Kinda like Russia. We’d pass Russian trucks on certain routes.
Last I heard is that the civil war is over and an American backed, past American killer, rebel leader took charge after the overthrow. Idk. I was there last in 2022 when those mfs shut our water off lmao. Guess what some of our bases were built around? If you guessed oil refinery’s and such, you’d be absolutely correct!
My guess is that we actually increased the amount of American personnel in Syria after the overthrow. That’s only a guess and based on nothing except my knowledge of American overreach. I try to get away from the dealings in the ME. Just brings up bad memories and disdain.
As a European, after Trump's declaration of war against us, I can't say this saddens me. It feels like enemy soldiers getting killed. I hope Americans realise that they have no reliable friends left.
The soldiers are likely no older than their early 20s. They aren't calling the shots. They probably joined with the promise of tuition payments and insurance.
Syrian sources confirms that the gunman was a Syrian MOD soldier who was conducting a joint patrol with US troops when he turned his barrel at them.
Fucks sake, we're back to this green-on-blue shit?
Check Kegseth's Signal app.

We need some Benghazi style hearings. Hegseth was drunk and Trump was asleep.
Whats funny is most people will believe the article says this when it doesn't, because they won't bother to read it.
The article doesn't need to say it for us to know that it's true. An article doesn't need to say the sky is blue on any given day, we have enough evidence that we can assume it without evidence to the contrary.
Wait I thought Trump ended all wars and created world peace
No, dumbass….
Jared Kushner already solved peace in the Middle East last time round!
He’s got billion dollar Saudi contracts to prove it
Just take our guys out of there already
I mean, that's what they alluded to in the new National Security Strategy, right? It's not like Syria is in the western hemisphere.
Honestly we have no business being in Syria
Last time we pulled out of Syria, Russia went in and killed 600,000 people. Hillary told us what would happen if we left and we collectively called her a war monger. Turns out she was right.

“Germany invaded Poland, not the UK, why should Brit’s get involved?”
A hegemonic Europe dominating Germany would be direct threat to UK interests, maintaining the balance of power on the continent has been the UK's foreign policy goal since they have been a nation.
Good question
Sometimes with great power comes great responsibility and sacrifice

Too much. My whole life this place has been at war and it has poisoned our fucking souls. It's time to stop.

So essentially your soldiers are sold out to the corporations and not the people of your country. Good to know.
Lmao you're just now learning about this? Soldiers have been sold out for corporations/resources for millenia.

Can't there is too much oil.. I mean freedom to be guarded there... On another note , Pistol Pete gonna be mad somebody talked. /s
I don't think any oil is currently being extracted from the US controlled areas of Syria.
The refinery’s and capital investment is worth too much to abandon. The only way to get out is to support local control that is friendly. That’s joint patrols.
Not under Trump's watchful eye. How can it be?
Biden, Obama and Hillary will be blamed for this. Just wait…
Why did Donald Trump do this?
trump should leave the football game in Baltimore immediately & get home to Washington- where a #POTUS, under a serious emergency belongs!
This never would have happened if Harris was President!

The US does not "police" anywhere it does not have it's own best interests in mind...
U.S. troops shouldn't even be in Syria. The fight against ISIS has been over for years.
Not exactly true.
ISIS still has a few thousand fighters active in Syria alone and 10k+ are held prisoner in camps in various countries (Syria, Iraq, etc). They’ve also transitioned into an insurgency, so the fight against them will likely never 100% be over.
No, Trump defeated ISIS years ago. He would never lie to us lol.
ISIS ambushed the Syrian security forces and US troops during a joint patrol
They have a presence in parts of Africa.
They were there to defend economic interests of the US while the warring groups fought it out. The US is not actively engaging anyone in Syria unless they are threatened
Quiet piggy

Let me guess we’ll need to deploy the full military and we can no longer question the Venezuelan boat murders and the Epstein files?
As a European, after Trump's declaration of war against us, I can't say this saddens me. It feels like enemy soldiers getting killed. I hope Americans realise that they have no reliable friends left.
The enemy you should be worried about is already in your backyard. It’s called Russia.
Yes, and the US is helping them.
Two things can be trash at the same time.
Which one? The Russian Federation of the United States of Russia?
world police getting reality check
and exactly what is it?
Lol, yeah surely the response will be underwhelming huh
How tragic for the interpreter.
The soldiers are likely no older than their early 20s. They aren't calling the shots. They probably joined with the promise of tuition payments and insurance.
Those are still someone's kids, have some class
