Hey all! Quick announcement from the mod team. We've got fresh updates to our rules you should be aware of!
RULE 5: Public Enemies/ Common Reposts
Public Enemy #6: Posts that are crossposts of nonwizard videos with the title "Which of you did this?" and other such permutations as the only justification will be removed.
A new Public Enemy has been added to the list and it was long overdue. If someone takes an unrelated tiktok of something strange and just slaps "which wizard did this?!" in the title it will promptly be removed.
RULE 6: Low Effort Posts
All posts must contain some degree of original content. It can be the image. It can be the text. It can be a high degree of rp-interaction based on a simple prompt as our "rp prompt" flair is intended for. But posts that are entirely AI generated (no original joke, no creative writing, AND no original art) are forbidden.
There is a degree of leniency, but be aware that spam posts or posts that are ENTIRELY devoid of human production are still forbidden.
As the rule was written, it was ambiguous and unenforceable and so, we didn't enforce it. AI is still explicitly allowed, but something in the post must come from a human being. As written, this was already the case before, but the wording made the parameters difficult to act on.

Oh. Wait a sec.
How are you checking posts for Ai content, other than the image?
Great question! Generally? We aren't. A lot of factors have to come together to warrant an investigation. Factors like showing common hallmarks of ai-writing, inordinate frequency (most people would really have to push to hit the 3 per day post limit with loreposts without ai assistance) and third party reports from active members of the sub might prompt a more thorough investigation into such posts.
If you, Torinn, reported a post for AI use and that post also showed some of the other signs listed above? We would do a more thorough investigation.
At that point, we would use AI checker tools, cross-referencing them against one another, while also testing them with a wide range of loreposts we KNOW to be both well organized and written by humans to verify as close to certainty as possible that such tools were being accurate.
Hypothetically.
Having played around with such tools to test their veracity against a vast number of users (20+ at this point) it is incredibly uncommon to find a single person to rate below 99-100% human. Even if they're the sort to meticulously spellcheck their work and even if they use AI to check for spelling errors or shorten their work.
If someone inserts typos, or uses an AI humanizer, it usually clocks at about 50% with some wiggle for which checker you're using.
You'll be happy to know that a brief look at your own posts shows you are 100% human. We hope to use such tools rarely, as the sheer amount of time and effort required to verify that they're doing their job correctly and check the veracity of appeals is... a lot. As such we would really only accept reports from flaired users and active contributors to the sub, or else the anti-ai brigaders would take over.
You’re gonna hate me but…
Am I human?
No, you are a wild diseased beast. (Scottish)
There’s the difference.
You gotta come up with an insult to try subvert the fact I’m Scottish
I gotta simply know your English to know you need not insulted any more than that.
No, I just think of all Scottish people as wild diseased beasts.
There is a reason Hadrian's Wall exists, and it's to stop you from being here.
Depends. Can you correctly select every square with bicycles?
I will pay a guy to do it for me
Ha! So you admit you’re not actually a human
We checked lots of people from multiple factions with very diverse writing styles. Very scattershot. Didn't check you actually and I'm out of free tries. Gptzero is one of the programs if you want to check yourself.
It would be like a computer from courage the cowardly dog where it just insults me aggressively….
No :P
Just so I understand things as a wandering warrior and scholar and occasionally visual person, a little prompt generated imagery now and then is ok, as long as there's obviously a human working the image and giving it some life and soul? A joke, a story, a lesson, something of that sort?
Essentially, yes
This is racist! I stopped being a human centuries ago!!!
I demand recompense!
