Probably my last check-in in 2025, and with some of the favorite stuff I discovered this year. This was also the year I started participating more in this wonderful community and I truly enjoyed finding like-minded folks to share the joy of this "mundane daily ritual", and I hope that will continue in the next year.
I wish you wonderful holidays gents, and I'll see you across the finish line.

How does SV Tundra Artica smell?
Soap is woody, but like a freshly sawn wood in a damp forest, and in the background is a flowery sweet and fresh scent that really opens it up and gives it some brightness. Soap isn't too intensive with the scent. Aftershave is stronger and is basically the same except it opens up with strong oud and then subsided to the damp woody smell. The fresh sweetness is even more pronounced and it really rounds out the scent profile. I love love the scent, but I would completely understand it not being everyone's cup of tea.
Sounds very interesting, I have been looking at possibly adding a SV to my den
I think SV 70th Anniversary is a crowd pleaser, it's a fresh citrusy, aquatic scent. I think it's a dupe of Acqua di Gio perfume. The other one I liked is Desert Vetiver, it's similar to Terre de Hermes. They have a aftershave sampler box, if you can find it to buy it, it's the best way to check out what you like. In any case performance wise it's an excellent soap.
Thank you! I’ll look into it
Lovely shave all good stuff , myself and my R41 have had another falling out on our last dance but hey ho , definitely getting one of those brushes in 26 .
Thank you! I'm sorry to hear that about R41, I'm sure it'll click for you eventually, with a perfect constellation of blade, soap and just that kind of day. But with Zenith, there's no mistake, you'll love it immediately, and with every shave it's becoming better and better.
Tbh it was only going XTG on the neck where I encountered problems so won't be doing that again.
I get it, I also have a spot on bottom of my neck where whiskers grow in these crazy directions, and if I'm going to get irritation and cuts that's the place. I have to approach it from this weird angle and I always shave it with the shallowest angle possible, cap almost all the way leaning on my face.
