I’m rarely shocked anymore but holy shit that video was horrendous. That poor woman.

I’m so sorry for this woman. Dating is actually very dangerous. That horrible perpetrator has to face’s consequences. He should have been removed from society a long time ago. Violence like this surely has precedent. What a sad and pointless painful situation

This is actually so sad. She has to have her life permanently altered due to someone that could not move on with his life and healthily process emotions.

She survived! How does that happen? I hope they give her the option of retribution in this case. Just write it out if you like, your choice of who does it and how clean you want to watch it. Sound, no sound?

I have seen the uncensored aftermath and it’s amazing that she even survived. I’m so tired of men not being able to handle basic emotions without resorting to misogyny and violence.

I love Brazil. I loved living there. One thing that impressed me was how strong and independent the women are, despite some really chauvinistic men. It just infuriates me that this man felt so entitled to this woman that he thought nothing about attempting to kill her because he couldn’t have her. Why are men so far behind in emotional intelligence?

It’s another example of a very public act of violence as well. There’s something especially disturbing about these violent male perpetrators acting publicly and openly (like the recent subway fire attack or others). The perpetrators are not behind closed doors and not shielding their identities. This horrific attack is beyond logic to anyone with any sense of decency but yet the criminals do have their own logic. I can’t help but wonder if they think they are right or they know there’s no heavy price to pay or they understand that the society sanctions these acts or if they just actually enjoy the sadism so much it’s an irresistible passion to a depraved human. It’s very noticeable that the male attackers are comfortable in the crowd generally and don’t expect to be stopped or feel any shame whatsoever. It says a lot about public spaces imho.

Gd, why do we still even pick men? This poor woman...
