I mean, he was 12 when he first sexually assaulted someone and 13 when he first raped, I think generally the legal system is somewhat restricted in what they can do to child criminals. They sent him to therapy sessions and hoped it would sort him out, in tandem with the ankle monitor keeping him from reoffending at least for a while.
There is something psychologically wrong with someone who rapes another, especially at a young age. He should never have been given so much freedom regardless of him being a child. There is no rapist who only rapes once. Once that line is crossed, there is no way back and they don't deserve a way back.

Judge David Borowski presided over the case's sentencing and issued a lengthy and harsh rebuke of the teenager's actions, the juvenile court's handling of the case and the parents' raising of Kirk. "This is as aggravated, depraved and sadistic and evil as it gets. You engaged in monstrous conduct," Borowski said during the sentencing. "Conduct that would lead the average person to believe you're a monster."
"Your record, Mr. Kirk, is horrible. If you were 40 years old, it'd be a horrible record."
When Tremonte Kirk was 12, he was convicted of two counts of fourth degree sexual assault for chasing and groping a woman and a 10-year-old in November 2020. He was placed on probation and attended three sex offender treatment sessions by August 2021. Two months later, Kirk, now 13, was charged with raping an elderly woman during a home invasion. In February 2022, Kirk was convicted of first degree sexual assault and burglary. He was sent to Lincoln Hills School for Boys, but was released less than a year later after completing sex offender treatment and therapy. Kirk was wearing an ankle monitor during this attack.
"You had a GPS monitoring device on your ankle when you were doing this! Did you honestly think you weren't ... did you think you were going to get away with it?"
Judge Borowski said that at this point, he had no choice but to send Kirk to prison for decades:
A psychologist evaluated Kirk before his release and found no developmental disorders or mental health conditions. However, Nozar suggested his behavior was one of a sociopath and Borowski referred to that possibility throughout his comments. "Nothing that happened in the juvenile system worked," Borowski said.
Kirk's father, Terrion, was in attendance and spoke at the sentencing, telling his son he loved him and that he would be there for him. "He has to learn his lesson," the father said. Still, Borowski lashed out at the father and Kirk's mother throughout his remarks. The judge cited a comment by the mother who described Kirk when he was younger as "sweet and playful."
"Either the parents are 100% enabling this behavior (or) they’re turning a blind eye."
Prosecutor Samuel Tufford noted the father was cooperative during the investigation.
Samuel Tufford had asked Judge Borowski to sentence Kirk to 49 years in prison, just shy of the maximum allowed for the charges. Borowski refused, citing the fact that Kirk, who was 16 at the time, had pleaded guilty.
Im pissed that he's going to get out of prison at all, let alone at 52 yrs old. Dude has been a violent sex fiend since puberty and shouldn't be allowed anywhere that he can violate any more people.
Look at it this way: He appears to be a violent sociopath with little to no impulse control. There is a very real chance he will commit more crimes while in prison, resulting in additional charges and years added on.

There are some good ones, it’s the fact that the bad ones wear masks disguised as the good ones is terrifying and makes me want to live on an abandoned island.
And not knowing who is good or who is bad, it’s just much safer to err on the side of caution and trust no one at this point.

There was a major poll/study done some years ago with hundreds and hundreds of men and they anonymously ask the question "would you rape a woman if you could get away with it" and most of them answered" yes." I'm the middle child of 9. My 5 brothers were all raised more or less the same. One of them, & only one of them has abused animals & raped, stalked, & beaten women (& at least one girl & one boy). Two of us were abused as children. His victims. He was never abused in any way & this behaviour wasn't modelled for him, but he started raping when he was 11. He hated me & tried to kill me (by jumping on my mother's belly) before I was even born. He was 5. This was all pre-internet, btw - these impulses were all his own. My parents were absolutely not saints, but nothing they could've done would've stopped him from being a monster. All this to say not all sexual abusers were abused & most sexually abused people don't become sexual abusers

My state mandates intensive, secure inpatient sex offender treatment for sexually violent juvenile offenders that lasts until the offender turns 21. I used to think that was harsh until reading about kids like Tremonte Kirk and Jesse Stone. Young 'uns can be monsters too.

Why is it that everytime one of these crimes is committed, the criminal has already committed the crime at least twice before?
