The Roman graffiti of Pompeii and Herculaneum is also a good example of humans always being humans. People always try to romanticise the past, but then in comes the Romans marking where they shit by carving graffiti into walls.
Its cause people mostly just look at the grand events that left a insane impact in history and our culture as a whole but like yeah a sense of humor isn't something new to humans, even during these grand events if we were to get into the specifics of it and know exactly what happened, what each person said and did and all that theres no doubt in my mind there'd be quite a few jokes in the middle of it lol
