First off, you're misinterpreting the rule. If zqfmgb is a type of worm, then zqfmgb is legal because it's a noun. The rule only prohibits proper nouns, which would apply if, for example, one specific worm within the species is called Zqfmgb (presumably because it's someone's pet and they named it that).
Secondly, technically speaking you can play any combination of letters in scrabble and it's fine if nobody challenges it. If an opponent challenges the word, you look it up in whichever dictionary was chosen for the game. If it's not in there, you take the word back and skip the turn. If it is in there, whoever challenged it skips their next turn.
