Modern engagement bait has got to be one of the worst online trends. People vaguepost so other people could comment asking for the context and it's so annoying. Misinformation too, people will purposely get things wrong so others can correct them and thus engage with their content
saw someone earlier ask ai for context on whether or not something was real, and it said it wasn't. but it was so confident about it it convinced other people that that thing was just an edit.
Hence "to make searching stuff EASIER" and not "as a replacement for searching stuff".
You can use AI to get a general idea of what the context to something is if everyone is being a dipshit 289 over it, and then verify things yourself once you actually know what to look up and what sources to use.
Generative AI isn't inherently bad and something that must be avoided at all costs, people just need to see it as a tool that has both uses and misuses. It isn't a replacement for using your brain, and it isn't the scourge of Satan that must be avoided at all costs.

This is the part where some random commenter posts the context meme as a punchline
hello, This is the part where I post the context meme as a punchline

For those wondering, asking for context often gives an image of that Fallout guy grabbing his junk with the text "Here's the context".
Yeah

This is so real. Asking ai for context is the most stupidest thing
Or relying on it. (im looking at you chatgpt users)
If there would be any significant change in your life if ChatGPT disappeared tomorrow, you gotta do something about that
Do what? Take down the greed conglomerate?
Stop depending on it
I mean if all generative air disappeared tomorrow there would be a significant change for the better.

so really not as bad as normal redditors
i dislike the AI bubble as much as the next person but there's really nothing wrong in using it as a tool to make searching stuff easier
AI often gives wrong information.
Maybe, but fact checking something is a lot easier than having to figure it out
Hence "to make searching stuff EASIER" and not "as a replacement for searching stuff".

so do search engines, you have to dig either way if you want to separate bullshit. AI at least sets you on the right track.
not really, dunno about grok but chatgpt id say is about 80% of times is correct
What's so bad about using an AI?
Cumtext?
.>"swears off ai" .>*clicks YouTube recommendation .>curious.
I’m sorry. Nobody should feel forced to resort to that.
Luckily Grok is banned in this sub so I can't just use u/AskGrok here
u/BaskGrok
asking a serious question in a jerk sub will never net you a real answer.
What is this in reference to exactly?
