Best guess is from some kind of adjustable-height medical equipment? No matching parts were with it.

  • This attaches to the little thing on your faucet that closes the drain. The holes on the bottom are for the lever that sticks out of the pipe and then the top would attach to the metal push/pull rod

Solved! It must have gone with a different setup under the sink at some point. Looks like it’s called a Clevis strap. Thank you!

When the faucet was replaced, it's possible to re-use the existing piece as they're pretty generic or universal.

Yeah, I took a closer look and it seems the original rusty Clevis strap is still in place. Learning!

I've left more that one rusty get up in place like that. They sometimes rust solid & it's a bear trying to get them apart.

Part of "Sink pop up assembly"

  • My title describes the thing. The house space it was found in is about 40 years old, and it’s at least 10 years old. It’s mostly plastic with a small adjustable metal screw piece on one end. There is no writing on it. I haven’t done any searches about it since I didn’t know what to start with; a friend tried asking a chatbot and didn’t learn anything.

  • I call it a down rod assembly. It's part of the mechanism to pop your sink stopper up and down. This one is made of plastic which I've noticed plumbing parts are going more plastic instead of metal so it could be a newer part.
