Brass object 14 inches high, hollow in the part that looks like a vase but not below where the arms come out. The inside of the "vase" is rough so I don't think it would be a good vase. There are no attachment points on the arms to be a candelabra, but that's all that image searching has come up with. No maker, metal type, or origin marks that I can find.
I like it because it looks like a sassy thistle, but am at a loss at what it could be! Thanks for any help

It reminds me of an epergne. But I don’t think that is exactly right. Some kind of really dramatic centerpiece
Thanks for the idea! There could be missing parts that hang from the arms. There aren't attachment points on the arms, but they could hold things, kind of like this one: https://www.sellingantiques.co.uk/1023722/outstanding-quality-large-antique-victorian-cranberry-glass-epergne
Solved! I think this is as close as I'm going to get. Thank you!
I'm thinking ornate single candle holder. Maybe for a wider than normal candle allowing a longer burn time?
My title describes the thing.

A vase for long stemmed flowers?
Edit: something similar to this one

Thank you for the idea! It's only hollow above the arms, so I think long flowers or having water in it would likely make it tippy
