Found in a river that contains lots of victorian and industrial revolution detritus, I thought it was a form for shaping leather or metal but I am stumped.
Image search brings native American artifact.
Ai thinks it a fossil

Seems like it may be a bottle stopper, has that look to it, but I'm absolutely making an educated guess; it appears to have been made out of porcelain (with the finish worn away) or fired clay. Either way, super cool find in what sounds like an insanely lucky/neat location!!

No, obviously itβs βdonβt stick it, Iβm your assβ
apologize for the typo, lol
Mortar part of a mortar and pestle? That would be my guess.
I agree, pestle.
Oh I had those terms mixed up. Thank you.π π
This is what I thought!
I think it looks almost like an air hockey thingy.
(I know itβs not one, but it looks like either that or a butt plug)
First off, everything is a butt plug if you're brave enough isn't just a saying today but it's a time tested human tradition.
Second, it's definitely a Victorian airhockey paddle.
I was going to say an elephant's butt plug.
Looks like a primitive tool of some sort.
You can bash stuff with it
π
Looks like a hat for a garden gnome.
Maybe a juicer before they added the ribbing?
Ribbed for her pleasure. Thanks for the set up. π
Mayan sex toy.
Or a rustic/primitive juicer for oranges or lemons.
You brave enough?
A rock
If it were flat on the top it would mean something.
It's for Air Hockey clearly. Could be a grinding pestle.
no idea, but it makes me think of this puzzle piece from my fav puzzle :)
