All the way from Norway, i will be attending the race with a hotel in Faenza, so most of the day i will be outside during my stay.
I am wondering about backpack and power bank checks, as the information available seems inconsistent, with someone saying you can, while some don't bring backpacks, and elsewhere a limit to 300 gram power banks and 15L backpacks.
Ideally what i would bring is a 21L backpack (about 40x35x15cm), along with a Anker 25k Power bank which is just shy of 600 grams. If people here have had experience with such sizes confescated and taken, i will take something smaller with me to the circuit.
Edit: Information i found could be from both F1 and WEC/ELMS. Alternatively from this video i found earlier, the backpack on most people look quite bigger than what i mentioned. https://youtu.be/EOlctdjP7qM
I don’t remember them caring about bag sizes or power banks since my sister’s bag was massive and they didn’t care about my power bank, but at imola they took off everyone’s drink bottles without any notice online that they’d do it for wec. There wasn’t that many water stations at the track too I only remember like 3.
The bridge entrance had HUNDREDS of confiscated bottles on it even early in the morning, sad because I saw a few customised ones with Rossi and Le Mans stickers ☹️
Thank you
Plastic one or not? Because water bottles are not allowed almost anywhere in Italy, and in some cases, not even disposable ones (plastic ones).
Plastic, cyclist bottles and hydro flasks literally any bottle they took it
Yeah... It's something they should honestly advertise more (and something not contradicting themselves...it has already happened that before the event they said it was possible to bring them and then, well they took them away at the entrance.)
But this doesn't really surprise me, only because I'm Italian and I know how things "work" in the two usual cases. At almost no sporting event is it possible to bring in water bottles, except sometimes plastic disposable ones (the "tiny one" 0.5l).
But Yes, at an international event, the rules should be made clear to everyone.
They don't care about anything but water bottles (been there for F1 and WEC)
Thank you
We carried a big backpack with 3 power banks in it, nobody cared. As for the water bottles, iirc only small (0.5 L) plastic bottles were allowed, but there are multiple water fountains around the track where you can refill them for free
