It’s made of embroidery thread. The gold wire things at the top & bottom I made to keep it from bunching together at the ends, cause if that happens everything goes slack and all the loose weft ends I’ve tucked in go flying. If anyone knows a less insane finishing technique (or any other tips), please let me know. I made this so I can have it poke out from under my sleeves and hopefully look like I’m wearing something absolutely insane as an underlayer.
It looks great! No squinting necessary! For the ends, it looks like you’re twining, so you could twin tighter, maybe with thinner thread, maybe 1-3 strands instead of 6. Otherwise you can do a hem stick on either end and that should hold better. Last resort is doing a tabby or plain weave for a few rows and then bend it and stich/sew it.
This is great advice! i also have regular sewing thread, maybe that could do something for longevity? Although now that I’ve been introduced to the hem stitch, i think i’ll probably be doing that now. Thank you!
Good job! Hem stitching will help
I love it. Awesome job!
That's an absolutely insane under layer. Haha looks great.
Lovely 😍
