JJJ foul trouble in the 3rd quarter won us this game.
Huge performance by Ky who just completely took over for a few minutes there. The swagger he plays with is insane when he's feeling himself. Also took the charge to get JJJ his 6th foul.
Low-key huge shots from CJ throughout the second half.
Energy from Bagley and Champagnie was huge. There were two straight possessions where JC got an offensive rebound and kicked it out for an open 3. We don't win this game without his constant hustle and fighting for every loose ball.
Man, I remember last year when everyone was hating on Kyshawn because he wasn’t efficient and we’re mad we drafted him over Wells. Big part of drafting players is waiting for their development.
The offensive rebounding from Sarr was very fun, especially considering the grizzlies have been really good with their rebounding this season. Obv edey not being there helped but 6 orebs is so good from where he was last year
Yeah, but these are massive strides for Sarr. He wasn’t really good at rebounding last year him improving his rebounding is something that I’m really impressed by.
Lots of good stuff tonight but I'll just call out one thing I loved.
With about 4 minutes left Sarr drove and failed to see Tre wide open in the corner, possession continues for a bit and ultimately ball finds it's way Tre who could have got off a lightly contested (pretty deep) 3, instead he made the extra pass to a wide open Sarr who buried it. He could have been upset about being missed for a truly wide open three earlier and gotten selfish when it came back to him, but he kept it moving and made the right play.
I was there tonight. Proof of concept of the rebuild actually working. They’ve raised the standard of play, and I believe in the foundation. Extremely encouraging because the Grizzlies, despite their issues, are a franchise who built their foundation back in 2019. Bright times ahead for the wiz!
let’s go the guys are getting better and better. Seeing George and Sarr together after the game made me realize this is our building blocks to being competitive again.
Man it's so fun when Ky is on. No fear from that man. I love when Meghan reported, I think, that Kyshawn was in the huddle yelling at the team and hyping them up. His whole attitude is just what they need. Regarding the past "I don't care". Just go out there and hoop.
Great game from Ky, he's the real deal. Solid performance from Sarr, especially from 3. Bub and Tre have got to get better creating off the bounce / dribble penetration but at least it appears we have two cornerstone pieces. I will keep praying for that #1 pick and then we will finally be on our way. Zards4Lyfe.

Feels great to win once in a while
Wolves beat the Thunder, Grizzlies beat the Wolves, Wizards beat the Grizzlies. Just hang the banner already
Kyshawn might be the greatest player of all time
Many are saying this
Games like these give me hope.
We may not be the worst team ever !!!
You can't look at that all time bad Bobcats team and say our team has a worse roster. Sarr alone, as a 2nd year player, invalidates that.
Bobcats had absolutely no future, no stars, and no people at that stadium. That team was destined to fail
Kyshawn takeover in the second half man. That was fun
we need the Grizzlies to knock the Suns out of the playoffs but I'll never be upset about a Kyshawn masterclass
Deadass thought we were going to lose to a Aldama legacy game
Lmaooo
We need to start having GOAT discussions about Kyshawn George.
Man, I remember last year when everyone was hating on Kyshawn because he wasn’t efficient and we’re mad we drafted him over Wells. Big part of drafting players is waiting for their development.
Wells is great, would have been happy with him, but Kyshawn is a stud
NBA please give us a top 3 pick we have Sarr and Kyshawn next to him
DP on this team and we got something cookin’
Kyshawn George vs Memphis:
28 PTS
7 REB
7 AST
10-16 FG
Kyshawn has future all star written all over him.
Him and Sarr are our future. Hold on to them at all cost
No trade them to the Lakers!
If it guarantees us the number one pick we gotta consider /s
He nearly got the LeBron statline!
Didn't get to watch but this box score can't be right. We had a strong second half?
A great third quarter and then JJJ fouling out made the fourth a lot easier.
We did to them what teams usually do to us. It was fucking beautiful
Very

WIZARDS BED: NO VACANCY
Hey we’re usually the lead blower, not the blowee. That’s nice.
Dark moment for Memphis lol.
Kyshawn went god mode tonight, goddamn
Sarr was meh from 2 and had zero FTs but I blame that on our bad guard play, he was 2/4 from 3 which is great
Tre was decent scoring wise, but 2 ast to 3 TOs is rough
I wanna keep Bagley on this team, decent back up centers on good contracts don't grow on trees
Bub was meh but super clutch FTs
The offensive rebounding from Sarr was very fun, especially considering the grizzlies have been really good with their rebounding this season. Obv edey not being there helped but 6 orebs is so good from where he was last year
oh shit that's true, damn didn't realize he had 6 ORBs
Yea it was crazy, he was really leaping and using his wingspan this game
I guess JJJ isn't known as a good rebounder, honestly it was kinda funny that Sarr was on JJJ and Kyshawn was on Londale but it worked apparently
Yeah, but these are massive strides for Sarr. He wasn’t really good at rebounding last year him improving his rebounding is something that I’m really impressed by.
yeah not trying to diminish it at all, I'm just shocked by it honestly
Don’t look now but the wiz have twice as many wins as the Thunder in the past week.
Any game where kyshawn and sarr get to shine like that is good for us. good team ball. a few more pieces and i really like the future
4-6 in our last 10… are we getting too good? Barely have time to wash the sheets lately
🧙🛌
Also the Pelicans won, so despite us having 5 wins now, that's one less team with 6 wins (currently the Pacers, Clippers and Kings)
That was a fun game to watch, shout out to Kyshawn taking over in the 3rd.
I think we're going to get something back for CJ and Bagley at the deadline.
I'm honestly cool with keeping Bagley unless we get a first for him (highly, highly doubtful)
We’re up

A great performance from Ky, since he is quite young I expect to see many more from him.
Grizz thread is livid

i was also there last night, it was my first time seeing a game live. i swear my mouth didn’t close the entire second half
Manifestation.
When it's draft lottery time next spring, we need you bro
Where da bed at?
Wizards only DC team to win today.. hm..
It feels nice not having to wait fourteen games between every win
let’s go the guys are getting better and better. Seeing George and Sarr together after the game made me realize this is our building blocks to being competitive again.
Aggressive Kyshawn is the best version of him

Sexy.
Nice finish!
FIVE BASKETBALL GAMES
Shout out to the Wizzlies and Grizzards that was a fun watch
With the Wizz missing their Maginot line of Sarr and Coulibaly we knew there wasn’t gonna be any defense!!
Man it's so fun when Ky is on. No fear from that man. I love when Meghan reported, I think, that Kyshawn was in the huddle yelling at the team and hyping them up. His whole attitude is just what they need. Regarding the past "I don't care". Just go out there and hoop.

I somehow knew from the very start we were winning that game. Like never a doubt
The bagman is one of the most underrated players in the league
Aldama had 37?? Was he really like that?

Did not expect that when I went to bed at halftime......
Don’t sleep on the Washington Wizards 😏
I looked at this game at halftime and saw a blowout…what is happening? Could we be in danger of losing our pick?
No way in hell, this team is still awful and the favorites to stay the worst team ITL until the end of the season
4-6 in the last 10, I agree but it seems we might have to be more explicit in who we play to guarantee it
