For the Megacicle and 14mm Quartz cap, I was previously using a $12 busted kitchen torch I’ve had for years and didn’t see the need for a bigger torch (really I just didn’t want to spend the money). Frick that.
Got a Blazer Big Buddy as a gift and wow. Socks actually blown off. Wish I bought one a long time ago. Do yourself the favor and treat your TED right with an appropriate size torch.

I need to get a Blazer torch. My best torch so far has just been a $20 Sondiko from Amazon. Do NOT buy 'tbteek' or 'Blue Dragon' branded torches, complete wastes of money.
I have 2 TBTEEKS that still work, but the locks broke on both of them, I guess it’s hit or miss.
I do use a Blazer daily for dabs and TEDs though
The locks always break. I bought a replacement one and left the old one for parts. My 2nd one broke the lock within a month. The plastic is weak. I just opened it up and drilled a hole next to it where it gets a better stop. And put a stick through. Works fine.
Yeah the lock on mine broke first and then it started having issues lighting just like the Blue Dragon. It irritates me immensely how the manufacturers of those torches use a heat-sensitive glue to affix the spark pole. Peak chinesium.
I abused Amazon’s return policy for the torches - I was sent a replacement and they asked me to send back the original. I contacted support after the new one was delivered and said that I was unable to return it because it was filled with butane, and they would just refund that torch and let me keep the new one.
I can't believe I didn't think of that bruh 🤦♂️. I need to start returning things more often.
Got the 10 dollar sondiko torch head and it works better and lasted longer than the blazer torch I had. Need cassette butane cans to run them, cheaper than 9x refined butane. Blazer torches are over hyped for what they are. Expensive as well.
Do you have to turn the knob to shut the gas off or does the flame go out when you let off the trigger?
Turn the knob to shut it off. The trigger is just the pezio igniter.

TBTeek and Semlos have the same exact model as the Sondiko, just a different brand name for less.
The TBTeek T907 is a different torch than the Sondiko S-400. Different model, refill capacity, lock mechanism, and spark pole design.
Edit: The main difference is a pure copper ignition core in the Sondiko vs cheap Chinesium glue in the TBTeek igniter. It's like TBTeek wants their products to fail just after the return window ends. Also Sondiko costs less.
Hmm, I assumed the TBTeek is just a different branding. I have a Semlos which also looks identical and and which was indistinguishable from my Sondiko (which is no more).
I'm currently seeing the Sondiko for $17.99, Semlos for $13.29, TBTeek for $12.99
Interesting. For me, the Sondiko is only $10, while the TBTeek is $13. Maybe you saw a different Sondiko model.

I agree 100%! When I got my terpcicle mini I wasn't getting very good results cuz my torch just wasn't cutting it. I found out what it was that Dave used in his demonstration video, and bought a Big Buddy. Once I got that .. wow .. the results are just fantastic. I don't see how an electric is going to beat this, unless you go a minimum of $350. So I'm just gonna collect all of TRWW's work. Properly medicates me every time. Very fairly priced. And I like to support him cuz his work and customer service are top notch.

I’ll try it with my TRWW Dynavap Quartz Cap and report back to you. The kitchen torch felt more appropriate for that size. Not sure if the quartz caps are the exact same size. Figure they’re close
Yeah, I have a nice dual flame RONXS for the Dani Fusion and purchased a Blazer Big Buddy when I ordered my my first Megacicle. That combo is unbeatable for the price and I recommend it to most everyone that wants an alternative to a ball vape. Dave also makes the QR Baller if you wanna spend more on a true ball vape experience.
Don't get the Ronxs Model RX77. Priced right and feels solid in the hand, dual flame but the maximum flame is maybe half the size as shown in Amazon picture. They have bigger models but none for sale at Amazon.
Back on the market for a torch to use on the terpcicle. Now looking for any recommendations besides Blazer.

10 dollar torch head for cassette butane cans is as good as it gets for butane.
I want a terpcicle so badly but am lowkey afraid of using a butane torch in my apartment. Feeling afraid that I’d injure myself/my wife/our cats somehow. What do y’all think? I’ve used a Dynavap before, but I quickly switched to an induction heater.

i got a different torch with a base that doesn’t randomly fall off and it hasn’t happened since!
I got a #11 quartz cap because I thought my micro torch would be able to handle it, but it really couldn't (maybe my butane is bad or it's defective because other's micro torches seem more powerful). I went to the box store and got a propane utility torch which handles it with ease. With this new found power I ordered the 18mm quartz cap and now I'm just waiting for what feels like an eternity for it to be delivered.
You’ll love it once it arrives. I got the heady 18mm to use with a Sky Quantum Klein Recycler and that thing will recycle your face and leave your brain completely melted, lol. A real one hit wonder if you will
Yeah I'm thinking I probably won't pack more than .15g at a time most sessions, you think it could extract that in 1 hit? The #11 can't really do it in 1 hit but it does make about 3 thick flavor clouds and a couple thinner ones, so I do enjoy it. That's a super nice recycler you got, I got the basic 18mm Stack bubbler from vgoodiez because I find my 14mm recycler very difficult to keep clean. It's just dirty from smoking through it and it bugs me every time I look at it. I've tried all different cleaners and techniques and the perc just stays stubbornly dirty and I can't get a pipe cleaner or brush into it.
