  • I think I am becoming more and more pro soviet everyday.

I see the potential in such an country,I see that council democracy and socialism might actually work

  • One of the worst events in human history

For everyone else that wasn't in the USSR (and some that were) it was the best.

Like East Berlin. These commies act like it wasn’t perpetual tragedies.

    40,000 Americans each year disagree.

(That is the number we kill by withholding medical services because they cant afford it)

Capitalist kill more Americans than Soviets ever thought possible.

Who cares with what Americans would disagree?

bro your just deflecting from the point he was making, you just go "here is a bad thing americans do," even though most of eastern europe is happy there not under russias boot anymore

Not deflecting USSR was not perfect, and a lot of people didn’t like it.

My point is when you compare it to America, maybe it wasn’t so bad. I then specifically point to our health system as a reference point to how capitalism treats people. With 40k dead a year. That doesn’t get into the imperialism aspect where we ruin lives abroad do better margins, or our military industrial complex that demands blood.

just gonna ask, what studies did you get the "ussr healthcare is more efficient than us healthcare"

Well the USSR had universal healthcare. Less tech and quality but consistent in care. America had better care but unequal application of it. Lots of reasons for this.

Considering where the came from that’s massive improvements.

Today this means 40,000 Americans each year die from lack of healthcare. They die for profit. That would not happen in the USSR or any decent society.

honestly i don't feel like checking your sources, and im not gonna argue american healthcare is not a shithole, but there is more to countries than there healthcare, just pointing that out

Of course there is more to countries than just healthcare…. Are you looking for a books worth of depth in a Reddit post?

Also I didn’t site any sources, they are well know facts And show up under any google search.

TBH I’m not even sure what you’re looking for.

Then maybe you should make your points on the anti-America sub. This is pro USSR, where life expectancies were significantly lower than the Americans, but not of any concern…

Oh man yah wow you got me.

Life expectancy in 1970 in the USSR (around 69.3 years) was close to the U.S. (around 70.8 years)

But you also fail to show the growth In That number the USSR. In 1950 it was 55 years, in 1930 it was 44 years.

The USSR rapidly developed from an again society to industrialized to become a rival of the top capitalist nation in the world that had arguably everything going for it. Double the population better natural resources and climate etc.

But yah going from zero to hero doesn’t mean anything because they were 1 year behind in life expectancy. Oof strong argument.

homeboy, many of the countries from the ussr celebrate there independence from it

Yeah, and many of those countries devolved back into shitholes like Baltics

thats be causing rushing into capitalism without a plan is a bad idea, that doesn't prove it was better in the ussr days, you don't say this about india. im like "india celebrates there independence" and your like "but india is a shithole nowadays!"

Yeah, because India was a recourse shithole during the English rule

During the USSR Baltic had been a leading production of Soviet electronics and had its own nuclear power plant.

Now it's a shithole that produces mostly canned fish, migrants and has an energy crisis

most condemning the ussrs ruling of the baltics and eastern Europe's comes less from economic efficiency, and more of the inherent immortality of stripping the self determination of an entire country, also india was the crown jewel of the british empire, but leading production doesn't mean you have good living conditions for the people under you

And now, from being USSR's vassals with valuable productions they have become USA's vassals with almost no production

"but america does a bad thing so that means something bad the ussr did doesn't count!" your just ignoring what i said, you ignore the point i made about whether or not the baltics had stable living conditions or the people had self determination, isn't it supposed to be UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS, not EMPIRE OF RUSSIA BUT RUSSIA HAS A BIG FANCY RED STAR AND ALSO WE LIE AND INFLATE OUR NUMBERS

No, I said that they didn't get independence and became even more shitty countries. If your washed by propaganda mind can't comprehend it, it's not my problem

you can use this logic around european conquest of africa " they weren't shitholes because they produced us a lot of stuff" yeah the balkans made electronics and india made the british a bunch of cool plants, thats a symbol of living conditions, stop telling me im brainwashed by propaganda and tell me why im actually wrong

how are the baltics american vassal states? you can literally utilize this logic to justify colonial empires, " we have to rule them because without the rule the country falls apart" you go im washed by propaganda even when your just bouncing around my points not debunking any of them

  • Once people will understand that capitalism killed and killing much more.

Capitalism is killing many, many more people, so Soviet Union who killed a less people is way better is not an exactly an excellent argument people think it is. Preferably, neither capitalism nor Soviet-type-communism should exist in the first place.

Communism never existed because idea is too perfect for reality. Lazy and greedy people will always try get power by abuse the law or other needs. That's why. Communism is about noone at charge but all is important because all in trading chain and everything and everyone depends on each other.

Well, I am not arguing if communism is possible to create or not. I am rather making a point, that sins of one, economical system doesn't absolve sins of another. I think that at certain point, atrocities both systems commited are so big, that you can hardly defend either. Common saying in my country goes.: It's a choice between plague or cholera. Sure, you could probably make a case that, based on a numbers of people dying from either disease (or you can take any other metric) one may be preferable. But I doubt you want to contract either.

I doubt you did read it properly so no sense to continue conversation here.

I also think you didn't understand either of my posts.

  • She lives on in North Korea

  • The liberals need to be banned from this sub Jesus Christ

I truly wonder why they are here, the USSR has been dissolved for 34 years, why do they fear it that much that they have this urge for brigading this sub, it’s like they are still living in the Cold War.

I don’t get why tho. Why do liberals have such a hate boner for the USSR? Even if presented with evidence that disproves common anti-Soviet talking points they just plug their ears and go “nuh uh”. Even before I started learning my opinion was neutral at worst.

not just liberals, chinese laugh at failures as well

Is that why they’re laughing at the US right now?

Ahh... Just censor everything like in the good old times, right?

Yes, this sub used to be much more enjoyable before hordes of shitlibs and fascists showed up.

  • What a nice day. And a day will come that Russia will collapse as well.

  • and very fucking good

  • The best present that Santa could give to former 14 colonies of USSR.

Funny thinking that USSR was actually the last global power to end their colonial era. Congrats for being the last, i guess

The Americans will not go so smoothly

  • Best day in history

  • Happy day for all the Russians who were trapped in the leftist tyranny of "progress", да здравствует великая белая Россия, Православная, Русская!
