Hey! So I recently got my script sorted for 30gs a month medical cannabis with Alternaleaf. I’m really excited to start figuring out what works best for me etc. and trying their different strains. I’ve smoked daily for maybe 2 years now? Usually only in evenings be it for social reasons or to help myself relax and sleep, but i’ll daysmoke once or twice a month as a treat.
I just had my 1st doctors appointment and he asked me if I knew any strains i’d like to try, I suggested High Silver looked great so he got me 10gs of that, and then I said i’d prefer two indica leaning strains for evening. He offered Upstate Black Triangle Kush and Upstate Kush Cookies. I said yes since he was confident about them, but after looking at reviews online I think i’m really not going to enjoy them. I know weed is so subjective and maybe for me they’ll be perfect, but I wanna swap at least one of the Upstate’s for a better strain now i’ve researched them. I don’t want to waste money on weed I won’t smoke.
If i get in touch, will they be able to change my prescription now or is it gonna be such a headache i may as well just get these 3 then next month try out different strains?
Apologies this isn’t very concise haha! Thank you to anyone who offers any help or a reply :)
Start of with what they chose for at least the first script cause it may work for you, but some times its trial and error, look into different terpines and what they do and go from there.
Huckleberry is good for day time imo and cheap too, i did enjoy black triangle kush for night time, high silver was not great in my opinion and and kush cookies wasnt great when i tried it, but ive heard others say its good.
It really is about what you want, like and what problems you need it for.
High Silver is very highly recommended, I think mainly due to the strain rather than the quality of how it's grown. It has good day time effects. It's actually super silver haze, an old school strain
I mustve had a really bad one then cause after sending pics and telling mo tu about the situation they refunded it, will have to try again cause i had heard good things before i last tried it.
Yeah I remember my first hit with the super silver haze and that strong iron taste in the mouth, it was great.
Everyone is different, always worth a try, unless you know it doesn’t work. Also, legally you’re not allowed to smoke, so look at getting a decent vape. As your an ex smoker the right vape is important, like a ball vape.
Kush cookies are really good
Dont listen to bad reviews ... unless its zookies ... that is shyte
You can change in your monthly follow up
I’m also with Alternaleaf - no at this point you can’t change the prescription, but once Montu the pharmacy email you to say it’s ready to be paid for you also don’t need to buy all the items - you could just pay for the two you want. You will be able to change however at your follow up appointment and then when requesting repeat prescriptions in the future you can also change then. I often get different strains month to month and it’s never an issue, but different to change a prescription once it’s been written.
If you like haze the high silver is sound, middle of the road effexts wise, uplifting
Yeah you are right. Scrap the lot and get something decent. Doctors don’t try this stuff in general and really don’t know much about it in many cases, they are prescribing based on passed on knowledge and guess work. They are not budtenders.
Doctors prescribing Hazes willy nilly because you should have Sativa for daytime is insane.
As far as I'm aware you should be able to, but it will mean you'll have to wait for a new script to be written up, so you'll have a wait.
I may be wrong though.

My friend is with Alternaleaf and he chooses different strains every month. Though Kush Cookies is consistently on his script when he can get it.
