    Yeah you can specially make cookie dough that is safe to eat by baking the flour first. If you buy it "to eat" from somewhere this is typically what they do. But don't just try your cookie dough batter at home if it as raw flour in it. It's worse than the raw egg statistically.

    About 1 egg in 20,000 is contaminated with a food-borne illness, like salmonella, E. coli, or something else. However, every non-contaminated egg is perfectly safe. Each properly stored egg has an independent 1/20,000 probability of being contaminated.

    By the nature of how flour is milled, every single bag of flour can be considered contaminated. That's because all of the grain makes contact with the same milling surfaces, so if any of the grains are contaminated, they contaminate the equipment that every other grain touches during the process. Because everything touches everything else, no bag of flour is independent of the contaminated flour.

    depends on where you live. american eggs are washed with bleach (for some reason) allowing the bacteria to enter the egg, in other places they're safe as long as you wash your hands after cracking them
