It's a Kirby game/anime crossover where President Haltmann uses Star Dream (in a lower powered state) on Customer Service's (A.K.A. NME Salesguy) corpse to test if resurrection is possible.
I called it "A New Era Dawns" and it's on Ao3.
I can give you a link to it if you want.
Am I alone in not enjoying causing needless despair for my characters? Like bad situations are bad, but it's for the narrative! I don't like seeing my characters cry.
Well, I don't like it when there's needless angst either. If it's not used to develop the story or to explore/grow a character, I feel like it's just filler.
One of my favorite writing experiences ever is when I was a “Game Maker” for a Hunger Games RP, and as a character was dying, I used pre-established Jabberjays to repeat back the last words of their fallen teammate, asking them to win for her
Me planning a dnd game. Most recent session was a bank heist, and in one of the personal vaults they found a scroll of Resurrection and a scroll of Remove Curse with some children's toys and a note saying "never again". Thief put those scrolls right back lmao
How to write a TTRPG campaign 101
As someone who has recently created their first fanfiction, I understand now.
What’s the fic about

Too much angst spoils the broth, methinks.
And I plan on doing a fluffier work soon.
Don't know why, but i read this in Tim Curry's voice
Why, as a species, do we love to write the most horrific and/or cruel things that could happen to man? FOR FUN?!?!
Suffering builds character

Please understand, my main character needs 60k words of suffering in the torment nexus, it is absolutely necessary for their character arc
Delightfully devilish, Seymour
I like the little imaginary flowers in the last panel, is that what they are?
That one scene in my fanfic where a vendor asks the protagonists why they are tied to each other and characther A responds it's a kink
(It just keeps getting worse after that)
Delightfully devilish, Seymour
That was my experience for coming with backstories for my OCs

Everyone freaked out. It was so peak
The alternative is getting distracted by a fly in the second panel and flipping my desk in the third panel cause I immediately forgot my great idea
Junji Ito writing his stories
The higher the percentage of Fluff, the more intense the trauma is to make up for it.
Me designing game mechanics lol
Who else read the first panel in David Kaye's voice?
Me planning a dnd game. Most recent session was a bank heist, and in one of the personal vaults they found a scroll of Resurrection and a scroll of Remove Curse with some children's toys and a note saying "never again". Thief put those scrolls right back lmao
This is me when I decide to purchase fast food and disguise it as my own cooking.
