Last year I was on a trip to Colorado with my best friend and we were walking around Denver going to different tourist shops looking for stuff to bring back to our friends and this guy spotted my best friends football team shirt she was wearing and he followed us for BLOCKS while we told him we weren’t interested. This happens so often where men just don’t get the hint. We even tried telling him we were married lesbians and he still followed us and waited for us outside of shops.

As a parent, I feel it’s in my responsibility to not only control what goes into his body, ie healthy food and only some junk, but also what goes into his mind.

what i don’t think a lot of men understand is that this behavior isn’t just rude. it’s rude + scary. the lack of inhibition, the fact that they aren’t listening and aren’t acting like normal people, it’s incredibly scary. every second it goes by and intensifies, as a woman you feel the likelihood of something bad happening intensifying. you start thinking of the worst. women have been murdered or raped for much less than telling a man to go away. it’s the potential that this stranger has that’s the scariest part for us, and we know that the odds of it escalating to violence get worse every second he continues to push.
They know. They don't care. And worse, they love it.
I am a dude, and this made me extremly uncomfortable. This was malicious not just mislead.

The mental games he's playing, I can't even type out what I want to say properly, but I feel like I just know this man has terrified a partner in the privacy of a home.
I am just visualizing the bullying and intimidation and controlling behavior. The violation. It's not hard to imagine how dangerous he possibly is when it's just him and another woman in a home environment.
