Volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary, we cared for orphaned raccoons

I was known as the raccoon lady at work. People would bring in orphaned raccoon babies and I would bottle feed them, dewormed them, and made sure that they would/could go potty. They stayed in my house, and would eat out of your hands. I would use a little wading pool, put minnows in it and teach them how to fish. I would take them to work and people couldn’t believe how soft they were. I live out basically in the woods on 57 acres, and when they were ready for release I would take them out and let them climb trees and I would run away so they wouldn’t come home.

I have a boy a few days younger right now. Got him 3-4 days old. He is quite strong now and will be opening his eyes hopefully by the end of the week. He’s quite vocal now though.
