So, I got sick and I have a little bit of a sore throat. Should I do light exercises to still stay in practice or wait until I’m fully recovered before voice training? It’s a mild sore throat, but I don’t know if it’s okay to do some light exercises (like only doing warmups or something)
There shouldn’t be any health issues with doing some SOVTEs for a bit each day, as long as you don’t have any lesions in your vocal folds. In fact, they may actually speed up your vocal recovery. That and lots of hydration.
You should stop as soon as smth starts to hurt. And you can still simulate your training in your head, this also works (not by strengthening your muscles, but your neurons and your brain)
