Hi! I posted here just over a week ago, but I've been using my femme voice 24/7 now (started sort of by accident). I feel like I'm already seeing some changes just due to the increased amount of time I'm using it, but I'd love to know what people think and any feedback y'all have. Thank you 🫶
Sounds good to me.
I'm definitely not an expert of any kind, but just listening to your voice for the first time, I definitely got the initial impression of femininity and I think it's sounding very natural, I wouldn't have expected you to be trans based off the voice. It's great to hear that it's coming more naturally; using it by accident is a great sign!
And about the weird looks: People do that. Regardless of who a person is, people will look at them weird. My guess is that it's you being self-conscious about using your femme voice and therefore noticing it more.
You asked for advice, and the advice of this random person on the internet who doesn't know anything about this or you is as follows:
Keep going! So far what you've done is incredible, and the next step is making it fit more to your own likings. If you want it to be more breathy or more valley girl as you mentioned at the end, go for it! Anything you add at this point is spice to the dish of your voice, but the ingredients are there and it'd be ready to eat whenever you decide it's done. (strange allegory but I hope I got my message across).
I wish you the best with the journey of your life,
Random fellow on the internet
🥺 Thank you for your thoughtful words! It's good to hear other people perceive it as natural. And me just noticing other people's looks more makes sense – I haven't thought that before.
Also I definitely don't want the breathiness or valley girl accent, but it's more that I like the weight, resonance and the size of the mouth space that occurs when I use those two techniques. Not sure how to bring those aspects over to my daily voice though. I'm hoping that just keep using my voice will eventually bring my resonance to be even smaller/brighter. Time will tell :)
Cis fem!
Very nice and passing in my opinion
