I got two hinges trying to lift this spiked wheel, like an arm lifting a dumbbell. Without the wheel the hinges work perfectly fine. They also work with a slim wheel. As soon as I put any 10kg+ wheel on it though, it just glitches out and breaks itself within seconds.
There is no way hinges used to be this weak. I can barely lift anything with them now.

What is this build if you don't mind me asking
I'm trying to build MUL-T from the game Risk of Rain 2. Unfortunately trying to make the legs is already breaking with just 2 hinges and a wheel.
RISK OF RAIN MENTIONED NEVER PLAYED IT BUT THE MUSIC GO HARD AF 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
Hinge strength is adjustable now, so you should be able to up it, but I don't think that's the problem. Does it glitch out as soon as you exit the builder or when you trigger the movement?
When the movement is triggered. It doesn't matter how much strength or damping I have, or what speed and angle the hinges are set to, they just cannot lift this little bit of weight.
If you haven't already, I would try deleting the hinges and arm, then adding them again. The hinges are definitely strong enough for that at stock strength. What settings are you using for each hinge?
any moving part on the game is kind of fked or glitched. Lots of stuff are bugged or have nonsense behaviour, such as wheels with suspension randomly drifting and making you steer while idle or pieces behaving different by no reason at random times.
I a thinking about leaving tm for stormworks, it has more stable parts and don't refuse to add a 1x1 block for no reason.
This is the main reason I don’t play trail makers anymore. I really like how much you can do on stormworks, but the UI for everything is god awful, it’s so needlessly complex and honestly is still a buggy game. I highly recommend everyone on this subreddit to check out Mars First Logistics on steam. The logic is honestly pretty basic and it’s missing some parts that the other games have but that’s the game’s only downfall in my opinion. It plays so much smoother than the other 2 games, everything you do works exactly as expected with no weird fucked up glitches and sparks. Definitely not a 10/10 game but I feel like it has more potential than the other 2 games to be something really great
