Here's a little something to jolt ya'wake, sleepyheads! Look at you, still basking in the dimming afterglow of the snazzy-zazzilicious upgrades in ol' D-D-L... Rejoice, my fellow Toons – yes-yes! At the whimsical whims of Toontown's most-brainiest and most-zaniest electrician (which happens to be me! (Joe Shockit!)), Toontown Remastered has finally snowed-in(to) The Brrrgh!
Whew, am I having a brief moment of clarity, or am I... looking clearer, too? Z-z-zow! They never told me this Toontown Remastering was infectious!
Well, as the lead electrician on Dreamboat Gaffe- I mean, Gustavo's 'dream team' of contractors, it's only my job to make every bulb blink, all Trolleys track, and many multitudes of snowflakes sparkle and sprinkle... zap-zap! And since this z-z-zone's home to my Northern Lights Electric Company, who's better to keep you company through these winter-ful wonderland-like revelations?!
None other than yours truly, I say!
The Remastering Recurrence
Huzzah! I've been waitin' so darn long to flip the switch on this Playground, but Toon Council told me they were gonna do some kinda z-z-zany surprise reveal at that ToonFest convention-whatsit (spoilers!). Break out the laundry lists, folks, 'cause THIS is everything changing TODAY with The Brrrgh Remastered:
- Once again, every wall, fence, brick, stone – you name it, has been upgraded & updated with improved texture and quality! This includes all shop fronts & signs.
- Massive amounts of collisions have been altered & improved. Take a look around the neighborhood and climb all over things you could never before!
- Props galore, like trees, snowmen, lamp posts, ice blocks, stoves, and more have received a frosty facelift!
Is it still an improvement if the snow is less crunchy?
Yes, I do prefer my walls a little more visible, and just a touch less... immaterial.
- Toon HQ is even cooler this time with added ice blocks & snowbanks – I wonder if you'd be able to climb them up to the top?
- All other Playground buildings, including the Clothing Shop, Pet Shop, Gag Shop, Trolley, and Party Clock, have visual improvements!
- Street signs, directional signs, and relevant Playground icons are sharper!
- Seasonal props, including the Halloween and Winter Holiday lamppost variants, have been remastered and will take effect during those events.
Don't think I don't see you there, sneaky snowflake! They're all photobombers, I tell you.
I wonder how they carve those ice blocks so perfectly?
A Rimy Reimagining
Here's a lil' Toontown conspiracy-hoax-brain teaser for you: did you know the lake in the Playground wasn't even real ice? Yup-yup. Believe me, not even that Samantha Spade's picked up the scent of this scoop – but just think about it, will ya? No slips, no slides. Nada trip. Z-zero falls, and concussions? Zilch! Now I can't really blame the Council since, well, uh, y'all've probably seen the state of Toboggan Ted and his washed-up bobsled bozos (with love!), but I did say wasn't, didn't I? Zing! Said Council also decided to give me a chance and broke out a schmancy Zomboni-Trolley vehicle to ice over the center with, well, real ice.
Zoom-zoom! I guess those Cold Caller Cubicles reinstated Flippy's faith in Toonkind's ability to skate! Now in The Brrrgh, you can figure skate figure-eights while you wait to cast jellybean bait from the docks with your mates! The significantly larger ice surface should prevent any traffic (or toboggan) accidents. But if you can't take the chill (or the newly-slippery-fied ice rink!), stay up on the hill and admire that renewed, shiny, and beautiful blue flag!
I could zig-zag 'round this rink all day, hoo-hoo!
Zrrack! Allllright, wonder what else I got on this laundry list...? Ah, righto – in celebration of ToonFest Orlando this weekend, brand-new ToonFest colors have been thrown into the fray: Orange and Green! They're gonna run out of colors if they keep up this pace... You can pick them up as clothing and kart colors alongside other ToonFest colors!
Zow-ie! I think that's about all the time I got on soapbox today, folks. Not so much the social type, as you can probably tell. Besides, I gotta get back to supervising my circuits before a certain other nosy Supervisor sticks her nose in my pristine cable management AGAIN.
Speaking of chords, I wonder which Playground we're off to next...?

Toontown Remastered
• The Brrrgh has been remastered! Hop on uptown to see this snowscape glow-up for yourself: clearer visuals, cleaner collisions, and many more cool changes!
• A majority of The Brrrgh’s textures have been upgraded! For a list of all these changes, please check the blog post!
• Added ice skating to the central rink in The Brrrgh Playground! Start skating by pressing the blue button that pops up while on the ice.
• Greatly increased the size of the central rink to accommodate skating (and prevent the occurrence of Ted-like toboggan accidents).
• Slipped in some slippery ice surfaces, causing Toons to slide around on ice even while not skating. This also includes smaller ice cubes found in The Brrrgh! Local Toons say it all started recently after Doctor Dimm made the unfortunate discovery of ice physics…
• Placed some props around The Brrrgh for any keen “alpine climbers” in the Playground to trek.
• Toons themselves have been remastered into higher definition – including backstage changes to models, rigs, and geometry! It seems to be contagious.
• Added a ripple effect when performing Belly Flop or Banana Peel in water. (Toon Tip: try these emotes while in motion on slippery ice!)
• Fixed Dr. Mumbleface’s Teleport access ToonTask incorrectly randomizing a Cog to Recover a Gold Tooth from, discriminately favoring Robber Barons over other options. That’s rich, isn’t it?
• Unfroze the blue flag near Fisherman Frizzy, allowing it to flow free in the wind with a new animation!
• Reimagined Toontown Central on the map for better look and detail! It really is contagious… ToonFest Colors
• Added new ToonFest colors – Orange and Green – plus lighter variants as options for all clothing that comes in an assortment of colors!
• Additionally, these have been added as kart colors. Grab some tickets from the Cavalcade soon and check out these shiny, new hues!
• Added ToonFest Pink and Blue as kart colors – matching the ToonFest Attendee Outfits!
