My friend and I were working on our polar bear task when the timer ran out to select how long they wanted the white, and the game selected the temporary option for them. Is there a way they can go back and get the permanent recolor without waiting until next year?

No. The temporary option is a cheesy effect that goes away on December 30th. Only the permanent option makes you that colour properly and adds it to your colour palette for future rewrites.
That’s kinda lame both don’t go into your pallet….
They should reword that then, bc permanent may make newbies think they literally can’t change, not keep it as an option if they rewrite
