I have a miniature lathe and shaper castings sat in my workshop waiting for me to machine them. For me at least it's more about the journey than the destination.
Definitely! As a carpenter who uses a full size miter saw to build houses, I can tell you that almost all of my tools are no good for working with dollhouse-sized materials.
If I was to make dollhouse or miniature furniture, I would kill for a saw like this! Its dimensions are proportional to the work and the small, fine-toothed blade is critical for cutting small parts. The teeth on my regular saw blade are comparatively huge and will just grab dollhouse wood and tear it in half and chuck it across the room in splinters.
Also- real wooden dollhouses like we’ve made for centuries before plastics and modern manufacturing are larger than you might think and very artful examples of craftsmanship
Love it. I had a 20" from the mid 50s in my shop for years. Bought it for $300 along with a panel saw. Absolutely loved it. Straightest/squarest cut in the shop. You'd have to back a dump truck into it to knock it out of square.
Looks like a 40's-50s MBF/GA Dewalt Sales RAS model.
Very fucking cool!!!
I’m confused about who would need such a thing, but maybe I just lack imagination.
A doll house maker?
A tool salesman
Fair
This is like the opposite of the giant Swiss Army knives and Estwing hammers you used to see in hardware stores.
Perfect for toddlers
The children yearn for the workshops

Someone who wants to remove their hand one finger at a time instead of all at once
Great, now I can get a nasty kickback from small pieces of wood. Unlike my full sized 1950's saw that kicks back massive ones.

I got the one pictured for free!
Nice. Do you rip with it also? Doesn't seem your bench is long/wide enough.
I do rip. My shop is rearranged now.
