And as the article points out, with the manufacturer they’re using there’s pretty much no way they won’t be affected.

They’ve probably been taking extra losses already since S2 was left out of the price hikes, so I can’t imagine this won’t push things over the edge.

I can see them taking the increasing costs for a while until a competing console decides to increase their prices, and then follow suit after them so it brings less bad press for them

While from a practical standpoint they shouldn’t have to eat the cost, the console is selling like hotcakes and is making a very nice profit them. We the consumer shouldn’t have to pay more because AI fuckwits are taking all the components. They’re making plenty of money. They won’t get my sympathy if they charge more for it. Now if you excuse me, I have to buy my 7th copy of Donkey Kong Bannanza.

This is so crazy. I falculated it. RAM is nearly 1-2% of the hardware costs of the switch 2. so yeah, maybe 10$ higher production costs. And they will already have contracts for the production. So increased prices doesnt matter.

But maybe mire people buy a switch 2 because of the headline, so maybe Shiggy will have food gor christmas

I'm hoping they increase the price of games next! $100USD is FAR TOO LOW AND GENEROUS of Nintendo! Please start charging a fair price like $200 USD for these top games of all time!!!!1!! Mario Kart World's and Metroid Prime 4's open empty world areas are PEAK gaming!! SO MUCH TIME to sit and contemplate things while going from point A to B!!!
