I don't understand why High Guard get so much hate, it looks very fun like paladins, I think it can't be that bad
It's just, we have a lot of hero shooters already we start to get fatigued from them. As well as, it was announced and enormously hyped at the last TGA as "game from Apex and Titanfall developers." And that was extremely disappointing to see, since most people REALLY hoped for ~some~ Titanfall related stuff... Instead our game just gets abandoned and simply used as PR for other completely unrelated stuff.
In short: Titanfall fans get kicked in the balls yet again.
To me it’s not about the fakeout. It looks incredibly generic and the character designs are ass. Can it still be a good game despite that? Potentially yes. Do I want to give it a chance considering I have a bunch of other games a lot like it that I know are amazing? No.
You can still like it though, and there’s probably a bunch of people not as salty as us that like it too.
Geoff overhyped it. Along with the whole titanfall namedrop and a pretty lackluster trailer it just took made me way more dissapointed. Although I appreciate that they showed some gameplay.
I went back and watched the Outer Worlds reveeal and and it was much more tame. The devs walked up, cracked a joke and showed a fun trailer
It's a free to play hero shooter, I have no interest in that at all
Always like to run extra ammo on legion. Also, running nuke eject on legion and scorch is a bitch move
The “big gun” archetype in games will always be fun to play with. Holding the trigger for five minutes is simple, but quite effective.
