• DeJoy fucked up the post office

Almost as if it was some sort of plan, or project?

Bingo. DeJoy has stock in private shipping companies

They'll be fully divested from those conflicts right about never.

He did it right before the 2020 election to slow don processing of mail-in ballots, because the majority of people who vote by mail are Democrats. He literally had all the automatic sorting machines ripped out. He also owned a lot of stock in other private shipping countries.

Who would have thought cutting 10k USPS jobs and budget cuts would have a negative effect? Real shocker. Definitely a feature, not a bug.

Exactly, that’s why I just said thanks Trump!!!👍🏼👌👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 see everything Trump touches is a disaster

Worse than a disaster - designed to cause hardship, pain, and death, for transfer of wealth upwards. This is intentional planetary-scale corruption at the r/nextfuckinglevel.

He got our local one hard. We're in a largish city and USPS served several others. LeJoy stripped out the automatic sorting machines and also extended their range radius another 20 miles which is fucking huge. Local mail takes a week to get to mailboxes, assuming it arrives at all.

Appointed by Trump to fuck up the post office before a major election, stakes in private shipping companies, Republicans have despised the Post Office for decades. This is the result.

European person here. Who is he and what did he do?

He’s the postmaster general who was appointed by Trump. DeJoy got rid of most of the automatic sorting machines because 1) he wanted to slow mail to a crawl because a lot of people, especially Democrats, were using mail-in ballots due to COVID and 2), DeJoy has numerous investments in private shipping companies

It's insane he got to keep his job

Republican's goal is to destroy the federal government for profit. He was doing exactly what he was hired for.

  • And somewhere there is a eBay customer blaming me that his package is late, even though I shipped the next day after receiving his order.

There's only so much delivery services can do, especially when short staffed

You telling me you don't offer next day prime delivery on your ebay orders? Why do I buy from you ebay sellers anyways smh my head.

Ugh! This is a ton of my online customers attitudes! Buying custom made artisanal/boutique products made on demand after they are purchased & they still expect same day delivery like it's the cheap ass Chinese made mass produced crap sold on Walmart.com or Amazon! ALL over our website we state our policy that custom made orders take longer to be delivered, since we have to make the freaking product - mail it - the mail service then takes their time with the package - eventually they get it. Even when we tell them that picking Priority Mail doesn't mean that their order will be made & delivered any faster - they expect it to go out first thing in the morning the next day when they order it on a Sunday night at 10 PM. They do the same thing with local pickup. Order a dozen custom made items that will take me 3 days to make correctly & then show up 30 minutes later wanting to pickup their product. All the time frames for custom orders are clearly indicated on the purchasing, receipt, & website fulfillment pages & the emails that they get from our website. We tell them to call, message, or email us if they need expedited order fulfillment PRIOR to placing their order just to make sure we can do it. I was in the area so I decided to check to make sure it wasn't ready yet. You'll get a text or email letting you know when it's ready for pickup!

I love the lady that recently placed an online order with us for a couple of packaged items that we always sell & have in stock. Her order came into our business at 11:45 AM on a Saturday morning as I'm rushing around trying to open our store at noon for our busiest day of the week. She calls at 12:40 PM to make sure that we could get the order out that day because she wanted it delivered on the upcoming Tuesday for her friend's birthday. Meanwhile our local post office closes at 1 PM on Saturdays (and is closed Sundays) & I would have to close my business to regular customers, pull/package/fulfill her order, & drive to the post office all in less than 20 minutes to mail it out. While on the phone I noticed that she also only paid for the cheaper 5 day USPS ground shipping (which saved her $3) & the order was being shipped from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas. Even on the best day that ain't happening. I offered to refund the order & suggested that she could maybe purchase an instant gift card that her friend could use on our online website anytime she wanted to or wait for me to mail it out on the following Monday morning via priority mail upgraded shipping. She decided to chance it arriving on time. I paid for the upgraded Priority Mail charges & got it in the mail at 10 AM at a central processing center for USPS mail in my city & it still took 4 days for the item to get to her friend. With their current delays I'm pretty sure even Amazon wouldn't have been able to fulfill her order in the time frame she needed it by. My small business isn't responsible for you not having planned & shopping ahead of time.

I hope you have a peaceful dinner

And eBay will side with the buyer, naturally

Why does eBay allow them to CXl the order right after I ship? Makes zero sense!

Can you cancel the delivery when this happens?

Yes but it requires some work, carries a pretty steep cost, and doesnt always work.

Yup just happened to me too but the buyer was chill it finally was delivered like 2 weeks after. Not even having a tracking update until it was delivered

People know it's Christmas time. Everyone knows deliveries are cramped and always late this time of year.

People just don't want to go on their pc's or write a letter, put it into an envelope and say that their gift is on the way.

Isn't there a tracking ID that you can share with the buyer in order to exonerate yourself from any blame?

I mean, if it was me and I saw that it is in the processing warehouse, I would redirect my "anger" towards the right link in the chain.

As an ebay buyer and seller, I never use USPS. They are absolutely the worst. I'd rather charge extra as a seller or pay more as a buyer and use UPS or Fedex. As a buyer I avoid auctions that use USPS.

If you want to keep happy customers, don't use USPS.

I've sold 1500 cds past 6 months on ebay all sent usps media mail and didnt lose one or was late🤷🏽‍♂️

I feel kinda bad for USPS. For most of their history parcels were a relatively small amount of the mail compared with paper. The last 20 years must have been rough.

I've actually only had a very tiny amount of issues with USPS packages for my business. The times I've used FedEx & UPS I've had issues. Paid extra to have FedEx package a very fragile & odd sized item & bought the insurance & it arrived in 100 broken pieces. Thankfully I was able to file the claim & it was approved. UPS has taken a lot of extra time to deliver my stuff to customers & it often arrives damaged. The only issue I've had with USPS in the six years I've been doing mail order - is just recently having a few packages (5) stolen from the same branch I was recently using to mail items from. I traced the missing packages back to a certain branch location & contacted the postal inspector to open a case. Thankfully the items were very low cost, so I just reshipped the orders & put through for refunds on the previous packages shipping charges. I've since changed to a different location to mail out from & switched a few of my protocols regarding how I mail out packages. I've been very fortunate not to have had any trouble with USPS as a shipper.

I appreciate this tip. I am going to try and liquidate some collectible stuff and was wondering about what would be the best shipping method to use. Perfect timing for your comment.

  • This was the plan all along and it began with congress making them prefund the pension plan back in 2006 with the PAEA

I don't know how many petitions I signed while Biden was President, begging for him or someone to fire DeJoy.

I gave up putting the email addresses of the board members on Twitler to demand his sacking. For years under every tweet bitching about DeJoy.

They are the only ones that have the power. They are all complicit.

One might say he’s gone a bit postal

Just like they are doing to education!

Not to mention the shit pay.

He’s not laughing at dejoy and doge here.

He’s laughing at us. “You ain’t getting your mail on time hahahahaha”

  • Meanwhile in Japan if a package accidentally gets opened or slightly damaged they competently repackage it for you and add an apology note.

Edit: I live in Japan and have had this happen to me on 2 different occasions.

And provide a photo of the warehouse worker committing seppuku for damaging your package and your honor

I'm actually being serious, what you said is racist.

Dude, chill. Take his comment with a grain of rice and relax.

    No, it was fucking racist.

    What if Im Japanese

Werd. I’d be proud to be Japanese and have samurai heritage. Dope culture!

  • Honestly, that just looks like every other day. The USPS handles a crap load of mail everyday. This is nothing

Last December USPS handled 350 million pieces of mail per day. Indeed this of nothing compared to the amount of volume they’re moving right now.

Absolutely insane logistical achievement. I can buy a $0.50 sticker, slap it on a letter and someone delivers it to whatever address I write on it within a week. Think about that.

Agreed - I sell books on Ebay and they get the job done with no problems. Even at Christmas time.

I agree with you, but i have mail that is taking 2 weeks plus sometimes to be delivered 1-2 zip codes over. It is still far more efficient than me hand delivering all my mail, but there are definitely problems in the system.

Lol I get what you are saying. But counterpoint, email

Email is fine for general communication. It just doesn't hit the same for some stuff though. Christmas cards, thank you cards, ransom notes, invitations to formal events etc.

One of these things is not like the others

Well yeah it's hard to shove a 2 dollar bill in a Christmas card if you tried to email it

But there are usually people on the dock

  • This video doesn't show enough. Those packages might just be sitting there, but I think they probably aren't. I used to work in a USPS Distribution Center (not this one, but similar to this one) and it would often look like this (and sometimes worse) towards the start of the shift around christmas and be entirely cleared out by the end. Everything you see is JUST the dock area, these places are massive. Those gaylords (LOL) are staged to be loaded onto trucks throughout the night. The trucks that are entirely full are routes that most likely have multiple trips scheduled throughout the night.

It is possible though that sorting (in the middle of the DC) could be backed up, but again, this video just shows the docks.

I appreciate your comment. I have worked in distribution warehouses and we staged gaylords like this for semi rollouts. Pallet jacking them into the trucks off to other destinations. When I watch this, all I see is a main hub versus a satellite hub.

Worked as an 18 year old on a mayor hub aswell. Beginning of the shift stuff was even more stuffed than this. We always cleared it out though end of the shift. This looks like nothing compared to the load we had to deal with.

Yeah, some nights at my place were much worse than this. You start getting the gaylords, wires, and BMCs cleared then all the APCs full of DPS come rolling out! I've saw the dock before where there wasn't even a path big enough to walk from end to end. Yet, it still got out every day...

  • Is it Louisville’s main office on Gardiner Ln? My landlord asked me if I had sent the rent and he finally got it a month late. They had an audit that found 138,000 pieces of un-delivered mail lying in a pile on the floor

One of my vendors just got a check dated December 2024. We work in the same office building but use a bill pay service for efficiency 😂

    That’s some efficiency there

  • Please hire me, post office. I am 43. I would love a government job with good benefits.

    jobs.usps.gov

Thankyou! I am going to the site now.

  • I did temp holiday gigs at USPS out at an airport in a medium size city back in the 90s. The amount of packages and letters that came through in the few weeks between Thanksgiving and end of year was crazy. But with the help of a couple hundred temps it all moved through.

  • I just appreciate his honesty tbh.

    I get it.

I appreciate his smooth voice and laugh. Someone needs to autotune this.

  • His little giggle and laugh so annoying

  • Shitty paying job means you get shitty workers.

What does it pay with benefits?

  • I was a seasonal employee at USPS back when I first got out of the service in the 1990s. It was at one of the major hubs for our state. It looked a lot like this even back then. I sorted so many catalogs and Christmas cards in those couple of months.

  • Smoking weed on the job doesn't help.

  • I believe him. Ordered a vinyl in early November. Shipped immediately, than stayed in Anchorage for nearly 3 weeks.

  • And wtf is this funny? 😐

  • There was no attempt.

  • They literally marked my shit as “picked up by individual” while I was at work yesterday.

  • Going Postal - Terry Pratchett, anyone?

    Sir GNU Pterry

  • Lol I ain't even mad about it.

Bruh, I wouldn't even wanna be in that room. Respect for what he's doing. That shit ain't for everybody.

  • I have an Amazon prime order that has been sitting in TN for6 days. Shipped on 12/2. It went from Seattle to Tennessee. I live a days drive from Seattle.

It was supposed to be a gift for my niece. I don't think it'll make it in time.

  • I hate this guy's voice. Oh look at the mail.

  • Rule 13 - The was no attempt here to get the mail on time. No people really trying.

  • Don’t our taxes fund this? How do our taxes not afford a well functioning mail system?

Republicans have been slowly squeezing the lifeblood out of the USPS for decades.

  • 0:12 "You not gettin' chall mail on time." 😄

I just want to hang out with this dude.

  • I only order if it’s 100% necessary. Canada post is always on strike for good reasons.

  • Just save lots of time and throw out the 90% that is unsolicited junk mail.

  • I fucking hate the Trump (mal)administration. Why do rich fuckers have to be so petty about everything?

  • I painted a picture of the house I grew up in during the late 70s for my mom a few years ago during 45s term. I never painted before and it took a lot of time and effort. I was very proud of it and couldn’t wait for her to see it. Never got there. I actually talked to a local post office and they told me the new Atlanta main office (or whatever)was a disaster and it was likely sitting in a cargo container.

  • Opa Locka in South Florida is my guess, mail sits here for a week constantly

  • Try your best dog that's all I ask. Late is better than nothing

  • Is it funny though? …..

  • Is this the distribution center in BK? It was always a dumpster fire there

  • I bet all this boxes are filled with pencils and dolls.

  • He sounds annoying

  • I’ve shipped thousands of packages thru usps every year for the past 6 years and have lost exactly 1.

  • fuck DeJoy and the administration and it's backers that installed him to destroy the US Post Office.

  • It wasn't clear, am I not getting my mail on time? /S

  • Stop complaining about work on TikTok <3 Not in this job market.

  • Sounds like a stupid person talking stupid things . No wonder he works in a stupid place

  • Anecdotally: None of the packages I have shipped since Thanksgiving have been delayed/late. In addition, I did 90% of my Christmas shopping online, and every one of those packages arrived on time.

  • Bro this is light work compared to last christmas. Thats not even enough .ail to warrant OT

  • He’s so funny but appreciate his honesty. I once had a client with bipolar disorder who told me when he was manic he would throw the mail in any box, he laughed hysterically at the memory, I was horrified lol

  • Santa will sort it out ol saint Nick

  • "You ruined little Johnny's Christmas!"

Probably someone blaming the postal service.

  • I guess my mom retired just in time

  • Yeah it’s called end of the day. All of the trucks picked up from the post offices and brought it to the plant. It’s not that hard to understand.

  • What state is this?

Every state. All 50, plus DC and PR and any other home or business that gets mail via the USPS.

  • I would bet this is Indianapolis

  • I wonder if he’s going to be honest with us. I wonder if we are gonna get our mail on time. I just wonder.

  • Way to go Trump!!!👍🏼👌👏🏼👏🏼

  • So Snoop Dogg is sorting mail these days lol

  • andddddddd this is why people are paying for UPS & Fedex to not wait on this ineptitude 🤷🏽‍♂️ get better or get fired by the customer

  • Is this part of the war on Christmas?

  • Yet another thing to thank Trump for. It's all about the the mail in ballots.

  • He’s just being honest with y’all

  • I wasnt sure after the 3rd time he said "you ain't getting yo mail ontime" but I'm thinking I might not be getting my mail on time.

  • St Louis, looking at you

  • Tried to do the post office. Worst fucking job in the world. I was able to do it but the work culture was crazy. I smelt alcohol on half the employees. No one gave a shit about anything. My trainer essentially TOLD ME to THROW the boxes to the front door because it took less time.

  • Thank you for sharing, makes complete sense🤦‍♂️

  • Imma send this to my boss and tell him this why i ain’t getting my fugin packages lol

  • Need less jobs more AI

  • I can wait! I can wait until they have people who make enough money to be able to live a comfortable living working for them!!!

  • New I didn't vote for this just dropped.

  • Oh that's hilarious, so funny. The guy in the video sounds like he's suffering with low intelligence.

If you walked into your shift every day to this much shit & not enough staff, you'd be laughing too. It's laugh or cry.

  • Do! Your! Job! Most people don’t like working but we do our job. This guys a douche bag and should be fired. Families are relying on this company. It could be life and death with these packages

  • This dude sounds like his breath stinks
