The real question is who do they want to hear political opinions from? Most of the voices being heard are being heard because they are (or were) celebrities. Even when a celebrity is an expert in something, it’s not their area of expertise upon which they are usually opining.
Take Musk as an example. He has no credibility in anything beyond marketing tech companies, but people love to listen to him bray about anything that occurs to him, no matter if he’s right, wrong, making things up, or parroting brain rot conspiracy theories. His business acumen made him a celebrity, and it’s that celebrity status that is the reason anyone gives even a whiff of a shit as to what he thinks about the price of condoms in Bratislava.
I mean... if I remember correctly, Trump had a "celebrity" line-up blowing him on stage whenever he could and the example here, TS just told people to go vote without putting her opinion out there strongly.
The only people whose political opinions matter to me are ordinary working class people like me. Celebrities, billionaires, influencers, politicians (ironically) are so disconnected from what actually goes on in the average Americans life, nothing that they say will come from a place of genuine understanding to me.
