The two that immediately come to mind are UK politicians that Jeremy made fun of at one point who then came on, Stephen Ladyman and John Prescott. I remember both having some views that were the opposite of what a car would like. Prescott’s appearance always stands out to me for how he kept getting up and looking out at the audience like it was a session of Parliament, while Jeremy stood towering behind him.
As a US resident, I wasn’t really aware of the UK comedy scene, but when I got into Taskmaster I knew Johnny Vegas and Sanjeev Bhaskar from their appearances on TG.
I'd never even watched anything from Formula 1 before. Hamilton came on and set the top lap. Not long after, someone else came on and beat his time. That couldn't be allowed, so Lewis came back and set the top lap again! That's when I got interested in F1. And I was a fan on Hamilton until Max showed up. It wasn't Max that changed my mind about Lewis. It was how Max would beat Lewis, and then you'd have to hear Lewis whining about it for 3 days after. That put me off of Lewis Hamilton. These days, I'm not a fan of anyone. I just like casually watching when I can. I like racing the Formula cars on iRacing more than watching.
Lewis never whined after losing to max. Did you even follow AD21? He famously had to keep quiet for days and showed composure after how the championship was stolen for him.
Sir Ranulph Feinnes interview had some of the most awe-inspiring yet shocking stories I've ever heard, I bought his book based on that interview alone.
Anthony Joshua. I saw a promo of the fight a month ago and that name sounded familiar. The Google machine confirmed. I've watched that fight so many times now.
J.K. I've been a fan of Jamiroquai for the longest. I started watching TG and they kept going on about this J.K. fellow. Googled him and my mind was blown lol.
The Vice President of Botswana.
Crossing it in cars? Cool! In those cars? ......oh.
Literally the best entrance of any guest!
Anthony Joshua
Top lad, even more so now that he absolutely humiliated & obliterated Jake Paul
One of my fav guests
Was coming here to say this. Great guy (from that interview at least) and loved to see him on a more casual side before the recent fight.
Seasick Steve
So odd to have never heard of a popular American musician, who's popular in the UK.
I live in the eastern United States and I had never heard his name until I saw him on Top Gear.
Jimmy Carr
How did I miss Jimmy on TG???
He was on twice, series 5 episode 4 and series 20 I think episode 1
The worst driver they'd ever had and the luckiest man alive.
Honestly, too many to name.

Absolutely hilarious, like it was a public meeting
Amy Macdonald
Second this, loved how non-famous it felt as well as how genuinely big a car fan she was
Didn't know who she was and now im a fan of her music. Perfect for a calm morning.
Also, her "oh no" on the show was super cute. She's a huge car fan.

Sabine Schmitz RIP
Got me into endurance racing, made a pilgrimage to the ‘ring and everything.
First time I heard of Boris Johnson was when he was first elected mayor of London and he was on TG. Actually a pretty entertaining guest.
Belinda Carlisle
Sadly, James doesn't like Belinda Carlisle.

Get your facts straight please.
r/lewishamilton is leaking
More like r/formula1. I am not a huge LH fan and hence not biased.
Nicolae Ceausescu when they drove through Romania and went down the rabbit hole of how crazy of a dictator he was.
Prince Harry's Dad

TG/TGT really put me on to a lot of celebrities.
Gregory Porter
Amber Heard is the only one. I wish I hadn't.
