SpaceX wonโt IPO but reverse merger into Tesla as prediction.
Robots are coming and they are going to be a fricking huge deal. Seeing some videos from CES from various companies of their robots doing some tasks and this is a no-brainer.
Paid $11 for a Waymo to take me 8 minutes away. 13m wait at 3pm.
A lyft would be $9 if it weren't free because of a once-monthly credit card perk. 3m wait.
Really? What city?
My experience in downtown LA has been great honestly, 7 trips in 2025 and I would say 5-7 min wait on avg and 3 times cheaper than uber or lyft for short to mid distances , long distance is not bueno. Also , out of nowhere waymo gifted me like 15$ credit ๐๐ฝ. I used all my trips to show friends and family the experience and for that it was worth the extra 3-5 bucks sometimes
South Bay Area not far from the main Google campus.
Were the reimbursements because rides took longer than expected? When I used Waymo in SF near the moscone event center I got those credits nonstop.
My current Thoughts on buying a new EV
#1) I really want a EV truck
#2) I really don't like the Cybertruck, but I want an EV.
#3) If the Cybertruck had a L4 ADAS, and Tesla took legal liability for any crash that it caused. . . I would get teh Cybertruck. But currently Tesla does not offer this service.
#4) So I plan to buy a Ford F150 Lightning, and when Tesla releases L4 ADAS . . . I will sell the F150 Lightning and buy the Cybertruck.
#5) I estimate consumer level FSD will finally hit L4 around 2028-2030's
Your guys thoughts and ideas
I feel 2028 is a safe bet for L4 nearly everywhere. That's AI5 + time or AI6.
I think consumer L4 will come sooner but in geofenced regions.
If you don't like the Cybertruck, don't get it.
L4 ADAS with Tesla taking legal liability is not likely any time soon. By the time they do get it, it's possible that other companies have also caught up in features. I certainly wouldn't buy anything today from any company expecting the hardware to be compatible.
I am curious though - why the F150 over something like the Rivian R1T? Is it just price?
Price and V2L . . . I don't actually know if Rivian R1T will do that.
R1T has V2L. F150 is definitely cheaper though the R1T is comparable to the Cybertruck, which it seemed like you were cross-shopping for.
Ewww, I don't want something comparable to CyberTruck. Outside of the torque/horsepower that the Cyberbeast carries, I really don't like that Truck at all.
I would get teh Cybertruck.
Enjoy, let me know how it goes!
Of course it drops the second i bought more yesterday
CBS Austin posts video about a man claiming that FSD saved his life.
My opinion, it is likely it did. At least kept him from an accident. What A I find amazing is the reporting is much better and fairer than any other mainstream news report I've ever seen.

"Tesla FSD saves life of guy playing chicken with his life".
I mean, I guess technically it swerved at the last minute, but I'm not sure why it was even necessary. I would have braked the second I saw it in my lane that close and already started moving over.
Gonna be one of those weeks huh
