They keep pointing to the one summer where there was almost no rainfall with just 2 weeks of really hot weather in the 70's. even though that year isn't even in the top 10 hotest years in the UK now.
I’m in America and the boomers around here seem to have forgotten the snow we used to get too. I’m only 21, but even I remember getting a foot and a half of snow during the winter as a kid. Now we get 3 inches max and it’s mostly wet snow. We used to get the stable snow that you could do stuff with.
I think the issue with America is we’ve had extreme weather of both ends of the spectrum. Places that rarely got snow are now getting pummeled with harsh winters. (Think Texas.) Although that is ALSO caused by climate change, they are able to point at that and go “SEE WORLD NO HOT!!!!! WORLD COOOLLLLLDD!!”
We’ve got the whole “megadiverse” thing working against us which makes it harder to argue with idiots who don’t understand basic environmental science lol
Actually this is a fair point. America has many different regions with different environments. although there’s no excuse, at least I can understand some American boomers thinking there’s no change in what they’re experiencing.
But the UK is progressively getting hotter at an unnatural speed and it’s much easier to notice because it’s smaller, in a region that experienced a consistent winter, and where AC is so uncommon that heatwave deaths are on the rise. Legit no reason for them to think it’s propaganda.
Because our government has been on a centuries long brigade to make the masses foolish and malleable so that theyll be easy to influence and bend to whatever dumbass thing they're told. And we are finally seeing that process pay off.
It IS pretty funny to watch politicians try to be like “okay guys, climate change is actually real” as if they weren’t the ones that took donations from corporations who benefited from turning the masses into deniers. Like, y’all did this. This is your fault. Now you’ve created an entire demographic of people who don’t trust you and now NOBODY trusts them. Two party system problems and all that jazz.
Climate change deniers keeps turning a blind eye on climate issues because the ones who suffered the most are those who lives in tropical regions, while the deniers live mostly in temperate regions.
u/Marsupial-731, your post is truly terrible!
Climate change deniers would buy this because they like the flavor of dark orange and purple.
I’ve met a lot of Marines, and quite a lot of them do believe in climate change.
Yeah, even marines aren’t that stupid
A friend of mine is a "serial climate change denier".
He didn't believe the end of the world was in 1993, 2000, 2005, 2009, 2014, 2020, 2025... and now he doesn't believe it's in 2030!
Despite all the facts! /s

I think maybe you misread what the person you’re responding to said
Oh crap, yeah I think I misread that.
Shouldnt the uk boomers be the ones who remember that it used to snow years ago while nowdays we do not get a single snowflake on christmas the most?

The heat in my area comes later and later every year
Fucking November was hotter than the previous two months
How can people keep denying climate change, like it is very easy to spot the changes in the climate year round for the last 10-15 years
Recently I heard a Boomer deny not only climate change, but the climate! “We don’t have a climate in this country, we have weather.”
Missouri haha
They think the corporations are the good guys and the scientists are evil.
And they think the scientists made it all up to get money, but corporations and politicians didn't.

How can we have climate change it snowed once so far this winter!
Because they have been trained to not think for themselves. To the extent the even could to begin with.
Most the arguments I see aren't denying that the climate is changing, rather arguing that the change is not the result of human activity.
So they're still ignoring evidence, just that evidence is more difficult to fully comprehend
Hardly its more used as an excuse then to actually claim that climate change is something real.
What difference would that make though? Even if humans didn't cause it, shouldn't we plan for it instead of doing nothing?
I agree with you, I'm just commenting on what I've heard from climate change sceptics - I'm not one myself
The fossil fuel industry took notes from big tobaccos media campaigns. Boomers love both
Take a propa ganda at deez nuts
I am a dumbass. I don't understand it. Can someone tell me?
"Oh man I haven't seen snow on Christmas in ages. Must be completely unrelated to this made up liberal climate change thing"
Why exactly do they dent climate change? What would be the point in making "climate propaganda" in the first place?
Cant even use a picture of real crayons
Based uncle
